The Frieren: Beyond Journey's End Film Concert 2026 released a new key visual, ahead of August performances in Yokohama. The artwork features Frieren, Fern, and Stark in formal wear playing orchestral instruments.

Frieren is shown playing the flute, Fern the violin, and Stark the horn, reflecting the concert’s focus on bringing the anime’s music to the forefront. The artwork will also be reproduced on a layered acrylic block, approximately 100 x 75 millimeters, distributed as an attendee gift to all ticket holders regardless of seating category.

The Frieren Film Concert follows the franchise’s orchestra concert from 2024, which drew a sold-out crowd of 4K attendees. In an official statement, Evan Call, the anime’s composer, emphasized, “This time, there will be lots of songs from the second season,” promising to bring the best musical experience for fans at the venue.

What to Expect From Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End Film Concert 2026

The Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End Film Concert 2026 will take place on Aug 1, 2026, at the National Convention Hall in Pacifico Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture, with both daytime and evening performances scheduled.

The concert will feature music from both the first and second seasons of the anime. Additionally, it will combine footage from Frieren anime’s first and second seasons with a live orchestral performance.

Hirofumi Kurita will lead the orchestra as a conductor with the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra. Evan and both seasons’ ending themes’ singer, millet, will appear as special guests. milet will also perform the ending themes, Anytime Anywhere and The Story of Us.

There are four ticketing tiers, starting at ¥10K ($62.52 USD) for A seats with limited view. The highest tier, S seats, are priced at ¥13K ($81.28). Advance ticket applications were bundled with the Frieren season 2 original soundtrack, released back on April 15, 2026.

The event reflects a popular trend within the anime industry, where music-driven events tied to major franchises have gained prominence as a way to extend engagement and revenue beyond television broadcasts and streaming. With Frieren season 3 still over a year away, the Film Concert offers the franchise’s growing fanbase an immersive event before they wait for the next chapter.

Apart from the Frieren Film Concert 2026, the franchise is also a part of Universal’s Cool Japan initiative, which also utilizes an event-style experiential setting. Universal’s Frieren-themed experience has three distinct offerings and is currently running in Osaka.
