After KATSEYE, HYBE has revealed its new girl group called Saint Satine with members from various countries around the world. The BTS label made the announcement on May 12, 2026, while confirming that the group will consist of four members. The Saint Satine members include Emily (USA), Lexie (Sweden), Samara (Brazil), and Sakura (Japan), and are set to extend the scope of the HYBE x Geffen Records joint venture.
How Did HYBE Form Its Latest Global Girl Group?
The group was formed via “World Scout: The Final Piece,” a 12-episode audition program that aired on a popular Japanese video streaming service ABEMA. Although Emily, Lexie, and Samara are familiar faces who appeared previously in “The Debut: Dream Academy,” which aired in 2023, the final spot helmed by Sakura was much more of a recent victory. The Japan-born was selected from a pool of about 14,000 applicants, surpassing Hiori, Ayana, and Aoi, who were her fellow finalists in the show.
“World Scout: The Final Piece” involved an intensive training period in the US and was held between October and December 2025. According to a statement of Son Sung-deuk cited by The Korea Herald, executive creator at HYBE America, the name of the group, Saint Satine, reflects both the “strong charisma” of a Saint alongside the “sophisticated image” of Satine.
HYBE 2.0 In Effect?
Parallelly, Korea JoongAng Daily noted a structural shift in HYBE’s corporate identity when it revealed its new motto on May 13, 2026. The company reportedly aims to become a “Global entertainment lifestyle platform company based on music and technology.” Their vision is further supported by a new statement of discovering “a new universe” while unlocking “an immersive journey,” which intends to push the limits of fan engagement. These changes come as the company pivots to its HYBE 2.0 strategy, which was first outlined in August 2024, aspiring to cement its idea of interlinking music, platforms, and tech.

Tech-Driven Strategy Shapes Saint Satine Debut
Reportedly, by specifically focusing on technology, HYBE intends to go beyond the usual content consumption patterns. Allegedly, the company stated that these new mottos could help consumers to “unlock new tastes” via immersive content. With this tech-first shift for HYBE in play, its new group, Saint Satine, is set to debut within the latter half of 2026. The new launch represents fresh ambitions for HYBE based on the practical application of its updated philosophy, which keeps music as the core, while aggressively building innovative fan experiences via a digital-first lens.
