At the recently concluded Mipcom 2025 market, Indian content creators made a notable impact by unveiling diverse projects that span animation, live-action, and AI-driven filmmaking. The Indian pavilion, organized through a joint initiative by the Indian government and industry bodies, brought together 70 companies, with more than half participating actively in the event’s global content showcase.​

Indian Participation at Mipcom Highlights Upcoming Animation Projects

Among these, Artha Animation revealed Om: The Sacred Force, a mythological fantasy series targeting family audiences and young adults, with a storyline rooted in Indian mythology mixed with adventure and humor. The show’s core revolves around a mystical divine jewel and a rebellious teen, promising a layered mix of epic storytelling and contemporary issues.​

Meanwhile, Encore Films launched a preschool edutainment series, emphasizing first-person narrative storytelling akin to popular Western content for early learners. Other studios like Green Gold Animation discussed their upcoming projects, including a co-produced CG feature The Assassin, and films centered around celestial animals and mythic characters from the Chhota Bheem universe.​

Adding to India’s creative push, studios such as Magic Lume CG and One Life Studios introduced animated features with themes of prehistoric survival and magical adventures, reflecting the diversity of India’s animation industry. AI-powered platform Storyvord, showcased as a tool for global filmmaking, generated buzz by demonstrating how AI can assist in managing logistics, crew selection, and compliance during production.​

The event underscored India’s rising influence in global content markets, demonstrated through a mix of mythological epics, children’s programming, and innovative AI integration. Industry insiders suggest that these projects aim to attract international buyers and strengthen India’s position as a hub for multi-genre storytelling and technological innovation.
