KADOKAWA Brings Re: Zero Premiere and More at Anime Expo 2026

KADOKAWA has confirmed its programming slate for Anime Expo 2026, including Re: Zero season 4 premiere and autograph sessions. Anime Expo is scheduled on July 2 - 5, running at the Los Angeles Convention Center, with KADOKAWA.

The programming centers around KADOKAWA Anime 10th Anniversary Producers Roundtable & Special Re:Zero S4 The Recapture Arc Ep1 Premiere, and features three different programs. Re: Zero season 4: The Recapture Arc episode 1 will be screened on July 3, 5:00 - 6:50 pm.

The publisher’s program lineup combines fan-facing experiences with industry-focused programs. KADOKAWA will bring industry panels with producers from three major franchises, a fan-facing autograph session, and the company’s newly launched KADOKAWA WORLD MANGA (KWM) initiative.

KADOKAWA’s Anime Expo 2026 Programming Breakdown

On July 3, from 5:00 pm to 6:50 pm, KADOKAWA will host its anniversary roundtable at the JW Platinum venue, alongside the Re: Zero premiere. Re: ZERO producer Sho Tanaka, KONOSUBA producer Rie Ogura, and Bungo Stray Dogs producer Chiaki Kurakane, are confirmed to take part in the Roundtable.

Prior to the discussion, the producers will participate in an autograph session at the JW Marriott Gold Ballroom, Table 1.

Separately, KADOKAWA is running an OnSITE session of its KWM program through July 2- 5, from 12 pm to 6 pm at Anime Expo 2026. Launched on April 30, 2026, the initiative is designed to provide overseas manga creators a structured pathway to debut in Japan. Additionally, Make Your Debut as an Author in Japan! will take place on July 5, selecting web novels suitable for publication.

Re: ZERO Season 4 Recapture Arc Episode 1 Premiere at Anime Expo 2026

The roundtable’s fan-facing attraction is the premiere screening of Re: ZERO season 4’s Recapture Arc, Episode 1, ahead of its broadcast debut. Season 4, consisting of 19 episodes, is split across two cours (Loss Arc and Recapture Arc). The eight-episode Recapture Arc is scheduled to begin streaming from Aug 12, 2026.

The Recapture Arc follows the concluding incidents of the Loss Arc, that is currently streaming. It is expected to adapt parts of Arc 6 from Tappei Nagatsuk’s original light novels.

KADOKAWA’s Anime Expo 2026 lineup highlights how major Japanese publishers are expanding their convention strategies beyond anime announcements and industry discussions. Other publishers such as Kodansha, VIZ, and the like are also bringing multifocal programs at the LA event, spanning music, merchandise, screening, etc.
