KATSEYE celebrates their 2026 Grammy nominations for Best New Artist and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance following the chart-topping success of "Gabriela."
KATSEYE To Perform at Grammys Amid Billboard Hits
KATSEYE's Beautiful Chaos EP charts success at Billboard yet again, as the group is set to perform in the Best New Artist segment of the Grammy Awards.
- KATSEYE will compete for Best New Artist and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance at the Grammy Awards on Feb 1, 2026.
- Their Beautiful Chaos EP spawned Billboard successes with Gnarly and Gabriela while also becoming the seventh best-selling physical album in the U.S. for 2025.
- Competing against Western peers in their Grammy debut, KATSEYE demonstrates K-pop's expanding influence in major U.S. honors.
KATSEYE, HYBE's America-based group, has been confirmed to take the stage at the 68th Annual Grammy Awards on Feb 1, 2026, at Los Angeles Crypto Arena, the Recording Academy said. The group will perform during the Best New Artist segment of the show, as they are one of the eight candidates nominated for the category.
KATSEYE’s U.S. Breakthrough and Grammy Nominations
KATSEYE's presence in the Grammy roster for Best New Artist reflects the group's remarkable development since its debut, which was just over a year ago. The six-member band, created through HYBE and Geffen Records' global audition initiative The Debut: Dream Academy, began their U.S. career in June 2024 with the mini-album SIS (Soft Is Strong), which featured early singles that contributed to growing their profile.
Their follow-up release, the Beautiful Chaos EP, which came out in June 2025, was a major success. The album’s hyperpop-leaning Gnarly was the group's first Billboard Hot 100 entry, while the Latin-flavored Gabriela gained wider public support, climbing within the Hot 100 while also obtaining a second Grammy nomination for the Best Pop Duo/Group Performance category.
Recently, Gabriela ranked again on the Billboard Hot 100 (out on Wednesday, Jan 21, 2026), reaching a peak of No. 21 after spending 26 weeks on the chart. The group’s latest song Internet Girl also ranked at No. 59 on the same chart. As per the latest rankings, at the album level, Beautiful Chaos has remained on the Billboard 200 for 29 consecutive weeks, taking a place at No. 43. Earlier, the EP peaked at No. 4 in the July 12, 2025, rankings for the same chart.
Notably, KATSEYE’s EP, Beautiful Chaos' success has been reflected through physical sales as well, with Luminate's 2025 annual report placing it as the seventh best-selling physical album in the United States last year, thus making it the only girl group release to be in the top ten. This is a noteworthy accomplishment for an act whose members are tasting success quite early in their career path.
KATSEYE Enters Best New Artist Race with Western Counterparts
KATSEYE will be competing in the Best New Artist category at the 2026 Grammys, alongside artists like Olivia Dean, Addison Rae, Alex Warren, Lola Young, sombr, Leon Thomas, and The Marías. These artists are also scheduled to perform for the segment.
Sabrina Carpenter, the US singer-songwriter who leads this year's nominations with six nods, including Album Of The Year, Record Of The Year, Song Of The Year, Best Pop Solo Performance, Best Pop Vocal Album, and Best Music Video, has also been announced as a Grammy performer, rounding out the early performance lineup for the Feb 1, 2026, ceremony.
KATSEYE's trajectory demonstrates a combination of thoughtful global positioning and streaming-first appeal, supported by strong social media engagement and long-term chart presence in the United States, Europe (ranked on the UK Official Albums and Singles Chart), and Asia (ranked on various charts from South Korea, Japan, Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan, and the Philippines). Their debut on the Grammy stage serves as both a career milestone and a broader indication of K-pop's continuous incorporation into mainstream Western award shows.
