KPop Demon Hunters Wins Golden Trailer Award for its Payoff Poster

Netflix animated film KPop Demon Hunters has won the Best Animation/Family Poster award at the 26th Golden Trailer Awards. The ceremony was held on May 28 at the Saban Theater in Beverly Hills, where awards were presented across 119 categories.

KPop Demon Hunters’ ‘Payoff Poster,’ handled by marketing agency AV Print, beat three other nominees in its category. The nominees included Walt Disney Studios’ Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Last Straw, Wildbunch’s Marcel et Monsieur Pagnol, and Universal Pictures/DreamWorks Animation's The Bad Guys 2.

In this category, AV Print also handled the poster of The Bad Guys 2. AV Squad, AV Print’s parent agency, took home Agency of the Year for the third consecutive year and collected 14 total awards at the ceremony.

KPop Demon Hunters and Other Animated Movie Nominees at Golden Trailer Awards 2026

The Best Animation/Family Poster was not the film’s only nomination at the Golden Trailer Awards 2026; it was also nominated for the Best Animation/Family award in the feature films segment. However, in the Best Animation/Family category, KPop Demon Hunters lost to Angel Studios’ Sketch for its Creative trailer.

Chainsaw Man: The Movie: Reze Arc received a nomination for Best Foreign Animation/Family but lost to TNT4 CHANNEL’s Alice in Wonderland. Illumination and Nintendo’s The Super Mario Bros. Movie lost to Walt Disney Studios’ Hoppers in the Best Animation/Family TV Spot category. Hoppers also won in the Best Animation TrailerByte for a Feature Film category.

The Golden Trailer Awards win extends KPop Demon Hunters’ already established critical recognition. KPop Demon Hunters surpassed 540M total views on the streamer, making it Netflix’s most-watched original title in history. The Golden Trailer Awards poster win adds a film marketing credential to a franchise that became a globally recognized cultural phenomenon.
