Mattel Reveals K-Pop Demon Hunters 'Huntrix' Trio Dolls
Following the Netflix film's massive success, Mattel is releasing a "Barbie-style" Huntrix trio with collector-grade details and special features.
Highlights
- Mattel is releasing "Barbie-style" collector dolls for the Netflix hit, KPop Demon Hunters.
- The dolls are being rushed into production after the film became Netflix's most-watched movie ever.
- Pre-orders open November 12, but the collector set won't ship to fans until Fall 2026.
Mattel has officially unveiled its highly anticipated line of "Barbie-style" collector dolls based on the Netflix global phenomenon, KPop Demon Hunters. The new three-doll pack, featuring the main trio Rumi, Mira, and Zoey, is scheduled to open for pre-orders on November 12, 2025, exclusively through the Mattel Creations website. This first look comes less than a month after Mattel and Hasbro secured global licensing deals with Netflix in late October to create official merchandise for the massively popular franchise.
The rush to create merchandise follows the film's staggering success. The CG-animated musical, produced by Sony Pictures Animation, was released in June 2025 and quickly became the most-watched movie in Netflix history, racking up over 325 million views, which translates into more than 540 million hours streamed worldwide.
This unprecedented popularity fuelled a scramble among toy manufacturers to get official products to fans, with Funko releasing its Pop figures in August and a Fortnite crossover that some critics felt was rushed.
What to Know About the 'Huntrix' Collector Set
The new collector’s set from Mattel will feature the Huntrix trio in their iconic What It Sounds Like performance outfits from the film's finale. The price details haven’t yet been revealed, and these are the first in a planned merchandise rollout from Mattel for K-pop Demon Hunters.
Mattel has clarified that although they are the creators of Barbie, these dolls are not officially part of the Barbie brand. However, they are described as being of comparable collector-grade quality, likely made in the same factories, and feature deluxe fashion details, painted nails, and articulated joints.
Mattel's prototypes show a high level of detail, reportedly capturing the characters' likenesses and personalities with the company's renowned sculpting expertise. The Rumi doll notably includes her signature demonic markings. This special feature reportedly uses a creative technology, similar to that used in previous specialised Mattel releases, which allows the markings to fade when the doll is dried after water exposure.
As these are prototype images, Mattel has noted that the final appearance and outfits may be subject to change before production.
Fans eager to secure the collector's set will need to be patient. While pre-orders open this week, the dolls are not expected to ship to customers until the fall of 2026, over a year after the movie's initial release.
This high-end set is just the beginning, as a wider range of KPop Demon Hunters merchandise, including a speculated "playline" for younger audiences, is expected to hit general retail shelves by the spring of 2026.
