  • Stray Kids' Back Door exceeded 400 million views on YouTube on March 8, 2026.
  • The song was released in 2020 as the lead single from the repackaged album In Life.
  • The achievement indicates the sustained global success of Stray Kids in streaming and live events.

Stray Kids' music video for Back Door has received more than 400 million views on YouTube, reported JYP Entertainment, the group’s agency. The milestone was attained on March 8, 2026, almost five years and five months after the video's first release. It is the third Stray Kids music video to reach the 400M mark, following the group's previous smash hits like God's Menu and Thunderous.

Stray Kids’ 2020 Breakout and Streaming Growth

Back Door came out in September 2020 as the lead single from In Life, a repackaged edition of the group's debut full-length album, Go Live. The song received global attention at the time, while also appearing on Time magazine's selection of the "Best K-pop Songs of 2020."

When released, In Life topped the iTunes Top Albums chart in at least 23 regions, including the U.S., Australia, and Russia. In addition, it reportedly surpassed 1.5 billion cumulative streams on Spotify, making In Life one of Stray Kids’ most streamed albums on the platform.

The achievement illustrates the group's expanding digital footprint. Stray Kids had the most on-demand streams of any K-pop act in the United States in 2025, as reported by well-known music analytics firm Luminate. Earlier in Jan 2026, the group had also secured its place in Billboard's World Album chart along with many other leading acts including BTS, CORTIS, and ENHYPEN.

Additionally, the group has maintained outstanding global sales success. Their fourth studio album Karma entered at No. 2 on the IFPI Global Album Sales Chart, the best ranking for a K-pop act on the list. Notably, Stray Kids were the only K-pop artists to appear in the top ten of both the IFPI Global Artist and Album charts.

In the meantime, the eight-member band will meet fans at Stray Kids 6TH FANMEETING 'Stay in Our Little House'. The fan meet will be held in Incheon on March 28 and 29, with further events planned for April this year.

Stray Kids’ Festival Stages and Expanding Global Reach

Beyond fan events, the group is increasing its global festival presence. Stray Kids are set to headline big worldwide stages this year, including The Governors Ball in New York (along with Jennie & KATSEYE) and Rock in Rio in Brazil, thereby proving their growing impact in the global music industry.

The 400-million milestone for Back Door is a definitive example of the long-tail streaming strength that is now anchoring K-pop's global digital economy. By keeping such steady momentum, the track’s success shows how the divide between "current" and "catalog" is disappearing. Notably, it is being replaced by a concept of everlasting relevance, in which old hits serve as a solid foundation for becoming a vibrant cultural powerhouse.
