The three-day appearance marked her first visit to India and brought one of Blizzard Entertainment’s most recognizable character voices directly to Indian gaming fans.

Hollings is globally recognized for her bilingual portrayal of Widowmaker, in both English and French, a performance that has remained central to the character across both iterations of the Overwatch franchise. Her participation at the New Delhi event reflected the growing scale of India’s gaming and pop culture ecosystem, which continues to attract international creators, performers, and franchise talent.

Chloé Hollings: Stage Training and Early Voice Career
Trained in stage acting, Hollings began her professional journey in performance through theatre before establishing her screen and voice career. Her film and television credits include Versailles, Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets, Wolverine, and Wolfenstein: Youngblood. Alongside these roles, she has contributed voice performances to international campaigns for brands such as Hewlett-Packard, M&M’s, Gucci, and Dacia.
She first entered voice acting as a child in France, and gradually built years of professional studio experience long before stepping into video games. Reflecting on how her career path does not follow a conventional entry route into gaming, Hollings explained, “my path is so singular and so unique that I'm not sure it applies to everyone, and I'm not sure it applies to every country.”
Rather than moving into voice work through self-promotion or demo reels, she transitioned into gaming through professional studio networks and bilingual casting needs. Her ability to perform in both English and French became a defining advantage when studios sought international talent capable of working across language tracks.
On the importance of acting training in shaping voice performance, Hollings made clear that technical vocal skill alone is not enough. “I think it's essential. I think it's a mistake to believe that voice acting is only voice. It's great to be able to do voices, but without the acting, there is nothing,” she said. She also emphasized that game performances require disciplined direction-taking and collaborative work with recording teams.
Chloé Hollings’ Widowmaker and Transition to Overwatch 2
Hollings’ association with Widowmaker remains the most recognizable chapter of her career. She has continued voicing the character as Overwatch evolved into Overwatch 2, maintaining continuity in the character’s identity despite shifts in gameplay structure and live-service content delivery.
Over time, her approach to performing the role has become more immediate and instinctive. “I step back into her instantly now,” she said, “it used to be that when I went for a recording when I went to a recording, I would wear high heels and try to like trick myself into believing that I was this insanely powerful sniper lady… but I don't need to do that anymore at all…. I can just dive into it.”
As AAA game development increasingly moves toward full performance capture that combines voice, facial expressions, and body movement, Hollings confirmed that her work has remained focused on traditional voice booths rather than integrated capture environments.
Her continued involvement across both versions of Overwatch places her among the long-running core voice cast that has sustained the franchise’s character continuity, over years of updates and competitive esports visibility.

Chloé Hollings’ Tips for New Voice Actors
During interactions surrounding the event, Hollings also addressed aspiring voice actors seeking entry into an increasingly competitive industry. For those preparing their first demo, she recommended professional guidance. “To get a coach. I think it's important to be helped when we're starting off. It has become a very competitive field,” she said.
On the realities of rejection and slow career traction in voice acting, she pointed to persistence as the only long-term constant. “If you enjoy recording, then record as much as you can, show what you know how to do, audition in any way that you can. And that's it. And maybe one day you'll be lucky enough to step into one of those major studios.”
She also acknowledged the role of industry connections in her own career advancement, particularly in securing the Widowmaker audition. “The only reason I ever got to audition for Widowmaker… was because this one recording studio was looking for a bilingual actress living in Paris.”
Chloé Hollings: First Visit to India and Fan Response
Hollings’ appearance at Delhi Comic Con 2025 marked her first interaction with Indian fans in person. Speaking about her experience at the event, she focused less on the scale of the convention and more on the audience response. “My most exciting aspect of Delhi Comic Con is just how nice and warm and kind everybody has been to me,” she said. “Everyone is so respectful and so cool, and I have nothing else to learn other than more kindness.”
Her participation reflects the broader integration of global gaming franchises into India’s pop culture calendar, where international guests increasingly appear alongside regional creators.
As the Indian gaming community continues to expand across console, PC, and esports audiences, Hollings’ visit reinforced the role of voice performers in shaping the emotional identity of modern game characters.
For fans of Overwatch, the Delhi Comic Con appearance offered a rare opportunity to engage directly with the performer behind one of the franchise’s most enduring voices, highlighting the human craft behind a character experienced by millions of players worldwide.
