Under the new releases, Cartoon Network, Pogo, and Discovery Kids are getting new releases starting from Dec 15, 2025.
Key additions include the India debut of Om Nom Stories on Cartoon Network, Omi No. 1 and specials across Pogo, and a year-end countdown, Titoo: Shararat ka Grand Countdown on Discovery Kids. The announcement highlights fresh titles and limited-period events aimed at maximizing holiday viewership, leveraging high afternoon traffic and early-evening slots.
Earlier, in Oct 2025, WBD announced its plan to improve content across Discovery+ and its linear channels, such as Discovery Channel, Animal Planet, and TLC, with an emphasis on a blend of local originals and international titles in India by the end of the year. WBD’s Head of Factual & Lifestyle Cluster in South Asia emphasized, “The newly announced India originals and our strategic programming across both linear and streaming platforms are a testament to our commitment to creating cross-platform experiences.”
New Shows and Festive Programming
On Cartoon Network, Om Nom Stories premieres on Dec 15, 2025. The show brings Om Nom, a curious green monster, into short-form episodic storytelling focused on humor-driven plots aimed at younger viewers. The program will air at 10:30 am on weekdays and at 8:30 am on weekends.
Pogo releases another new comedy series, Omi No. 1, similarly on Dec 15, 2025. The show follows Omi’s daily life adventures. The show is also described as a blend of humor and quirky energy. The series will be airing Monday to Friday at 11:30 am and 7 pm, and offers regional dubs in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam. The dual timings and regional dubs are aimed at attracting more viewers during the festive season.
Additionally, Pogo’s lineup centers on special telefeatures and crossover programming. The network is scheduling movie-length telefeatures built around its marquee franchises, including Chhota Bheem. The scheduling notes Jay Jagannath: Maarechka ka Mayajaal will air on Dec 27 at 11:30 am, and Chhota Bheem & Ghatotkach on Dec 28 at 11:30 am. Big Picture Multiverse ka Mayajaal is scheduled for every Sunday until Dec 21 at 1 pm, as well.
On Discovery Kids, WBD is rolling out Titoo: Shararat Ka Grand Countdown from December 25 to 31, a week-long programming block featuring pranks, episodes, and extended storylines. In parallel, WBD is using the festive period to showcase new content on its revamped Discovery Tamil (DTamil) channel.
Commenting on the year-end slate, Abishek said the new slate is offering fresh, engaging content experiences while using festive windows to introduce new formats to deepen audience connection. His remarks reflect WBD’s broader approach of blending global franchises with locally relevant scheduling and regional dubs to drive scale and consistency.
