Highlights
- The Riven Tides update for ARC Raiders introduces the game’s first coastal map with dynamic water-based mechanics.
- Embark Studios is also adding a new large ARC enemy similar to the Queen and Matriarch.
- Riven Tides will conclude the early 2026 Escalation roadmap, which was revealed in 2025.
The Riven Tides update is shaping up to be the most substantial content drop yet for ARC Raiders. Scheduled for April 28, 2026, the update will introduce a brand-new coastal battleground with water and environmental hazards.
Unlike the smaller Flashpoint update in March, this release acts as a full-scale expansion. It also wraps up Embark Studios’ Escalation roadmap, which previously delivered Headwinds, Shrouded Sky, and Flashpoint across the first quarter of the year. Here’s everything you need to know about the release timing and what’s coming to the game later this month.
ARC Raiders Riven Tides Launch Timings
Embark Studios is expected to roll out the Riven Tides update on April 28. Here are the estimated global release times:
- 1:30 am Pacific Time (PT)
- 4:30 am Eastern Time (ET)
- 10:30 am Central European Time (CET)
- 2:00 pm India Standard Time (IST)
- 6:30 pm Japan Standard Time (JST)
ARC Raiders typically does not have server downtime for its content updates, so you can safely play on the release date before the patch arrives. Once the update is available, the game will ask you to logout and download the Riven Tides patch to access the new content.
What’s New in ARC Raiders Riven Tides?
Riven Tides will introduce a new map with coastal terrain and water systems. Located along the southern coastline of the Rust Belt, the map shifts away from industrial wastelands into a partially flooded urban zone where cities meet the ocean. Here is everything we know about the map from recent teasers:
- The map has high verticality with rooftops, elevated highways, and submerged pathways.
- It features looted districts and beachfront zones, including resort-style ruins.
- There is a ring-shaped coastal city layout extending into the sea.
- The map features offshore structures, including an oil-rig-style platform.
- There is a partially submerged rocket ship, likely acting as a major point of interest for high-tier loot.
The map is also expected to be larger and more traversal-heavy than previous zones like Stella Montis, blending long sightlines with tight, vertical combat spaces.
Dynamic Water and Map Conditions
Riven Tides introduces a new environmental system tied to tides and weather conditions. The game has already thrown players into thunderstorms and electromagnetic storms. The new map modifier will make players combat dynamic water levels all across the map. These mechanics are designed to make each raid less predictable, forcing players to adapt in real time.
New Large ARC Enemy
Embark Studios is also introducing a new boss-tier ARC machine, similar to encounters like the Queen and the Matriarch. Teasers hint that the encounter could be tied to the coastal setting, possibly featuring water-based mechanics.
Expedition System and Additional Content
Riven Tides marks the end of the third Expedition for the extraction shooter. Players have to collect materials for the Expedition and have 3M Credits to get the seasonal rewards and five bonus skill points. Embark Studios is also likely to release another roadmap to give players a preview of what’s to come in the second quarter of 2026. More official information about the Riven Tides update and future updates will be available as we get closer to April 28, 2026.
