Highlights

  • Century Games' strategy hit Kingshot passed $500M in revenue in just nine months.
  • Player spending continues to break records, with November marking its best month yet.
  • The US market is driving this success, helping Century Games top the industry charts.

Century Games has secured another massive victory in the mobile market with its latest 4X strategy title, Kingshot. Just nine months after its global launch on Feb 24, 2025, the game officially crossed the half-billion-dollar mark in gross player spending.

According to estimates from market intelligence firm AppMagic, the title passed this major $500 million USD milestone on Nov 18. This achievement capped off a remarkable streak where revenue climbed every single month without fail.

The game's momentum appears to be accelerating rather than slowing down. November 2025 stands as Kingshot’s most lucrative month to date, generating a record-breaking $96.7M. This performance slightly edged out the previous record established in October, where the game pulled in $95.7M.

As of Dec 1, total lifetime earnings have reached approximately $542.9M across both the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. This financial power has cemented Kingshot as a top 10 revenue earner and played a pivotal role in helping Century Games claim the number one spot among the top 50 mobile game makers of 2025.

The trajectory of the game has been remarkably steep, with monthly player spending growing by a staggering 1,540% between March and November without a single drop-off in momentum. The most profitable day for the title was Oct 5, when players spent $4.1M in just 24 hours, a figure that represents nearly 70% of what the game earned in its entire first month.

US Leads Global Engagement

In terms of engagement, the game has accumulated over 14 million downloads on iOS, seeing around 1.1M monthly active users. Players in the United States are the primary drivers of this financial success, accounting for 42% of total lifetime revenue. South Korea follows as the second-largest market with a 9% share, while Japan ranks third with 7%.

When breaking down the platforms, Apple users are the biggest spenders, contributing 62% of the total revenue compared to just 38% from Google Play users. However, with Google’s proposed policy change regarding fees for games offering "advantages" through purchases, analysts predict Kingshot could be among the titles hit with a new 20% fee in the future.

Kingshot has achieved these numbers by blending complex strategy elements with casual gameplay mechanics, a "hybrid" approach that is increasingly dominating the mobile charts. By leveraging real-world events like Halloween, Thanksgiving, and World Hello Day for in-game promotions, the title has kept its player base engaged throughout the year.

Data suggests that the strong retention trend, including a significant 55.3% jump in monthly growth back in July 2025, proves the game’s long-term appeal in a competitive market.
