EA Sports FC 27 (EAFC27) launched on Sep 25, 2026, across PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PC, Nintendo Switch, and Nintendo Switch 2. PlayStation India confirmed the PS5 release in India on Sep 26 through its official X account with the message, “Remember: the team that scores more goals usually wins.”
The PlayStation Store lists the Standard Edition at INR 5,999 and the Ultimate Edition at INR 8,999 in India.
In the U.S., the Standard, Ultimate, and Ultimate Plus Editions cost $69.99 USD, $99.99, and $149.99, respectively, while the Nintendo Switch version starts at $59.99. The Ultimate Edition includes 6K FC Points across three monthly drops and an additional FUT Player Evolution slot. It also comes with three Icons and Heroes, along with 10 double AXP consumables.
EA Play subscribers also receive a 10-hour trial.
EAFC 27 Introduces The Grounds and New Career Mode Features
The major new feature is ‘The Grounds,’ a social football space where players can meet, play small-sided matches, participate in 1v1s, and mini-games, and access club activities. NPCs can also help players improve their abilities.
The PS5 version supports PS5 Pro enhancement, DualSense vibration and trigger effects, Remote Play, 1-4 players, and up to 99 online players with PS Plus.
Manager Career gets a rebuilt transfer market with realistic valuations, performance and buy-back clauses, active bidding, dynamic OVR based on form, morale and fitness, new teammate behavior and custom challenges. Negotiations also include a tension meter and unexpected events, including opportunities to sign players targeted by rivals.
EAFC 27 Receives Mixed Reviews at Launch
Ultimate Team introduces the Gallery, which tracks owned and previously owned Player Items through themed Sets and rewards. Pathways adds multiple evolution routes, while gameplay changes include improved teammate runs, through-ball aiming, corner control, manual defending, and reduced CPU-assisted defense in competitive play.
EAFC 27 features 21K-plus licensed players across 800-plus clubs and national teams, more than 35 leagues, and over 130 stadiums.
The game has received mixed reviews, with one PS5 review scoring the game 8/10. Those reviews praised its Career Mode and gameplay refinements but criticized ‘The Grounds’ for its limited polish, content, and separation from Player Career.
Overall, EAFC 27 feels like a measured step forward for the series, with EA adding more ways for players to engage with the game without moving too far from its established formula.
