Highlights

  • Fingersoft confirms Hill Climb Racing has passed 2B downloads globally.
  • Hill Climb Racing still attracts 4M daily players, more than 13 years after launch.
  • The franchise is nearing 3B total downloads.

Fingersoft has confirmed that its original mobile hit, Hill Climb Racing, has surpassed 2B downloads globally, more than 13 years after its release. First launched in 2012, the physics-based driving game continues to attract over 4M daily players, supported by ongoing updates and live operations.

The milestone positions Fingersoft’s Hill Climb Racing as a rare long-term gaming industry milestone, particularly in the mobile sector, where most titles see short lifecycles. Fingersoft said the game remains the foundation of its business and the cornerstone of its broader franchise strategy.

“We are truly humbled and grateful for our players all over the world,” said CEO Teemu Närhi, noting that sustained player engagement reshaped the company’s long-term plans for the title.

Fingersoft’s Hill Climb Racing Franchise Approaches 3 Billion Downloads

Since its debut, Hill Climb Racing has expanded into a multi-title franchise. Its sequel, Hill Climb Racing 2, is set to turn 10 later this year. Meanwhile combined Hill Climb Racing downloads across the franchise are now nearing 3B worldwide.

Fingersoft has also partnered with the LEGO Group on the LEGO Hill Climb Adventures spinoff and soft-launched Hill Climb Racing 3 in select European markets, including the U.K. and Nordic countries.

Despite newer releases, the company said the original Hill Climb Racing remains the most popular title among Fingersoft mobile games. It is available across mobile platforms, subscription services, and browser-based play, underscoring the durability of Fingersoft’s mobile portfolio in a highly competitive market.
