Grand Theft Auto (GTA) VI Online is reportedly planned for 2027, according to Twitch CEO, Dan Clancy. The multiplayer component is expected to follow the Nov 19, 2026, launch of GTA VI, although Rockstar Games has not announced an official release date for it.
Clancy discussed Rockstar's plans in an interview with Bloomberg, saying Twitch has spent time working with the studio on how creators can engage with GTA VI. “You are going to see this big bump with GTA 6, but then an even bigger one next year when they launch multiplayer,” Clancy said.
GTA VI Launch Details and Multiplayer Plans
Rockstar has confirmed GTA VI for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Meanwhile, the company has not yet provided details about its multiplayer plans, including whether the component will officially carry the GTA Online name.
Rockstar is also preparing for the November launch with Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album, a 34-track soundtrack announced on Sep 17, 2026, in partnership with Atlantic Records.
What Does the GTA VI Album Include?
The album launches Nov 19, with its first six singles already available:
- Travis Scott: RHYNO
- Yung Lean: That's It featuring Future and Metro Boomin
- Rauw Alejandro: Macacoa 2000
- CA7RIEL & Paco Amoroso, PinkPantheress, Fred again.., and Etienne de Crécy: Sexy Magic
- Keith Richards: Bright Lights, Big City
- Morgan Wallen: Last Thing You Need
Physical releases will include vinyl and CD editions.
The official store will offer a splatter-edition vinyl, liquid-filled vinyl, and CD jewel case. Additional vinyl colorways with new artwork will be available through Amazon, Walmart, Blood Records, Target, Best Buy, Barnes & Noble, Urban Outfitters, and independent retailers.
Rockstar additionally stated that more details on the game's dynamic score and the next evolution of its in-game radio will be announced later.
The announcement has also drawn reactions from fans and gamers, with some pointing out the contrast between Rockstar offering physical editions of the album while a physical edition of GTA VI itself has not been announced. The $124.98 USD price of the limited-edition vinyl has also become a focal point of the discussion.
