HoYoverse has confirmed a second collaboration between Honkai: Star Rail and Fate/stay night [Unlimited Blade Works], slated for Summer 2026. The announcement came alongside the reveal of Version 4.3, The Lethe Below the Living, set to launch on June 1, 2026.
Gilgamesh and Rin Tohsaka will appear as collaboration characters during the event tied to the Version 4.3 drop. The crossover marks the game's return to one of its most high-profile IP partnerships, which previously introduced Saber and Archer.
Trailblazers will be able to claim either Gilgamesh or Archer for free simply by logging into the game during the event period. HoYoverse has not yet published a full character breakdown; additional details are expected ahead of the event.
Honkai: Star Rail x Fate/Stay Night Collab: Gilgamesh, Tohsaka, and Version 4.3 Rollout
Honkai: Star Rail Version 4.3 will continue the Planarcadia storyline, with the update’s main addition being Mortenax Blade, a new 5-star Fire Nihility character. Apart from the main storyline, the version will also add Wispae Amusement Park and new Starward Mode across the rotating combat modes.
HoYoverse has yet to clarify whether the Fate franchise’s Gilgamesh and Rin Tohsaka drop comes with Version 4.3 or if it will just be timed around the launch.
According to the official Instagram, the event, Imagenae Holy Grail War, is scheduled for July 24, 2026, with its run extending till the Version 4.6 drop. The Imagenae Holy Grail War event will start at 12:00 (server time), on July 24.
The previous collaboration with Saber and Archer rolled out with Version 3.4. If Honkai: Star Rail follows the previous distribution strategy, Gilgamesh and Rin Tohsaka’s characters might align with the Version 4.3.
The previous Fate/Stay Night collaboration featured exclusive rewards, including Archer’s Light Cone, The Hell Where Ideals Burn, which enhances his combat abilities. As of now, neither Fate/Stay Night publisher, Type-MOON, nor HoYoverse has detailed any such additions for the upcoming second collaboration between the titles.
