KRAFTON India has announced the Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) Rising Star Invitational, a new tournament built exclusively around players from its Esports Rising Stars program. Scheduled for July 3 to July 5, 2026, the event will feature 16 Rising Stars captaining their own five-player squads for an INR 5L prize pool.

All matches will be streamed live on the KRAFTON India Esports YouTube channel.

The invitational serves as the competitive centerpiece of the Rising Stars Program, which expanded with its second cohort in 2026. The initiative is designed to identify, develop, and accelerate India's next generation of professional BGMI players. It provides coaching, competitive exposure, and national visibility to emerging talent.

Karan Pathak, associate director, esports, KRAFTON India, stated that the Rising Stars Program was created to identify India's next generation of professional BGMI talent. He added that putting Rising Stars "in the captain’s seat" against leading professionals is part of KRAFTON India's long-term effort to build a pathway from grassroots competition to the global stage.

The format puts emerging players in leadership roles while allowing them to compete alongside some of India's biggest esports names.

The tournament will be played across Miramar, Erangel, and Rondo over three days. The team with the highest cumulative points will be crowned the inaugural Rising Star Invitational champion.

Beyond the prize pool, the event gives aspiring players a national platform. It also complements KRAFTON India's wider grassroots esports ecosystem, which includes the BGIS, BMPS, and the College Campus Tour.
