Highlights

  • Everstone Studios’ Where Winds Meet hits 15M global players within a month, signaling strong worldwide adoption.
  • Cross-platform releases across PC, PS5, Android, and iOS expanded accessibility, while driving a major engagement and revenue boost.
  • Strong Steam performance, multilingual support, and positive reviews highlight the growing influence of Chinese open-world RPGs in global markets.

Everstone Studios’ open-world RPG, Where Winds Meet, has surpassed 15M players worldwide within the first month of its global release. On Dec 14, 2025, the game’s official X page announced the feat, stating, “15 Million Wanderers have joined the Jianghu!,” and expressing gratitude for the global acceptance of the new title.

Where Winds Meet debuted on Nov 14, 2025, for PC and PS5. Within a month, the title expanded to Android and iOS on Dec 12, 2025, increasing accessibility for mobile audiences. Where Winds Meet blends wuxia-inspired narrative and RPG world-building with a narrative inspired by the Ten Kingdoms period.

Where Winds Meet’s Early Success Influenced the Growth

The 15M mark is not a standalone incident; it precedes the game’s earlier success. Following its Steam and PS5 launch, the game amassed two million total players within 24 hours. Where Winds Meet also peaked at 193,860 concurrent players on Steam, securing the top spot. On Nov 29, the company announced it had secured nine million players globally within two weeks, accelerating the engagement.

The mobile release appears to have impacted the momentum. While the PC and console versions engaged early adopters, the Android and iOS launches expanded the potential audience, attracting more players. The PC and PS5 versions were free-to-play, According to AppMagic’s estimate, the mobile version generated $557K USD overseas, in addition to making $130M on the Chinese App Store alone.

All in all, Where Winds Meet’s milestone illustrates how Chinese action RPGs and open-world titles are securing traction outside their domestic market, capitalizing on broad device availability and community momentum. The game currently supports nine languages and has generated a 89% “Very Positive” review remarks on Steam within the last 30 days. The publisher also has laid out an upcoming UI Optimization plan, implementing on Jan 9 with the V1.2 update.
