Comic Con India will enter Navi Mumbai for the first time on Nov 28 and 29, 2026, bringing its 2026-27 season to the CIDCO Exhibition & Convention Centre. The event will start at 11 am and expand the convention’s presence across the Mumbai Metropolitan Region.
The Navi Mumbai edition follows Visakhapatnam, which was announced as the opening city of the new season.
India’s Fandom Economy Moves Beyond Major Cities
The event will combine gaming zones, creator interactions, live performances, merchandise, cosplay showcases, and brand experiences. CEO of Comic Con India, Shefali Johnson, stated that organizers had noticed fans and cosplayers from Navi Mumbai travelling to Mumbai, describing the debut as a way to give them a local platform.
Comic Con India, acquired by NODWIN Gaming, says its events have attracted more than 200K enthusiasts and generated a collective digital reach of over 330M. Its portfolio spans comics, anime, television, collectibles, film, gaming, and merchandise.
The convention has also featured international properties such as Marvel and DC alongside Indian comic creators.
Co-founder and managing director of NODWIN Gaming, Akshat Rathee, pointed to the city’s community groups, regional events, and cosplay initiatives as factors behind its growing connection with the wider metropolitan area. He said Comic Con India could bring together “young professionals, students, creators and pop-culture enthusiasts” through their shared love for “stories, characters and self-expression.”
