NODWIN Gaming Launches India's First Space and Sci-Fi Festival

NODWIN Gaming has announced Space Fest India, billed as India's first dedicated festival for space, science, innovation, and space-inspired entertainment. The announcement was made at a press conference held at Trident in Mumbai on August 25, with the event backed by the Government of Maharashtra. The inaugural edition will be held at Nehru Science Centre in Mumbai, with dates and the full guest lineup to be confirmed later.

The press conference was attended by Maharashtra Industries Minister Dr Uday Samant, Principal Secretary Dr P Anbalagan IAS, and MIDC Mumbai CEO Shri Deependra Singh Kushwah IAS.

SpaceFest’s Ambitious Goals

The event is designed to bring together global space industry leaders, startups, policymakers, creators, students, and enthusiasts under one roof, blending technical content with entertainment. The program will include keynote addresses and panel discussions from figures across the Indian and global space ecosystem, major policy announcements, international partnerships and MoU signings, and showcases from space-tech startups.

Beyond the industry-facing content, SpaceFest will feature dedicated zones for sci-fi, gaming, and space-inspired entertainment, celebrity appearances, fan engagement, investor interactions, hardware exhibits, and aerospace technology demonstrations. A school outreach program and a college-level innovation challenge are planned as lead-up activities ahead of the main event.

SpaceFest arrives at a moment when India's space sector is expanding on multiple fronts. NASA recently invited ISRO to participate in its plans for a permanent human presence on the Moon, reflecting India's growing profile as a global space power. Government policy has also progressively opened the sector to private participation, creating the kind of ecosystem that an event like SpaceFest is positioned to serve.

For NODWIN, SpaceFest represents another expansion beyond its core gaming identity into a broader youth entertainment and innovation remit.
