- The partnership reflects Toei Animation’s broader strategy to expand One Piece IP with large-scale North American live events and promotions.
The Los Angeles Dodgers and Toei Animation will host One Piece Night for the second consecutive year on July 2, 2026. The event is scheduled during the Dodgers’ 7:10 pm home game against the San Diego Padres at UNIQLO Field at Dodger Stadium.
The partnership renewal follows last year’s sold-out debut on July 3, 2025. “The Dodgers and One Piece form a seamless collaboration that has quickly made this event into one that cannot be missed,” emphasized LA Dodgers Executive Vice President & Chief Marketing Officer Lon Rosen.
Toei Animation’s Senior Director and Head of Marketing, Lisa Yamatoya, positioned the return as a response to last year’s success as one of the biggest One Piece promotional events of 2025. “We look forward to welcoming a record crowd once again for another not-to-be-missed night offering fans the unforgettable, one-of-a-kind entertainment experiences,” she further stated.
What Can Fans Expect at the Dodgers’ One Piece Night?
2026’s One Piece Night follows a similar format to last year’s. The event will include a pregame activation at Centerfield Plaza, a ceremonial first pitch, and a postgame drone show featuring fan-favorite characters from the series.
Like 2025, the first 40K ticketed attendees will receive exclusive giveaways at their point of entry, including a co-branded straw hat with a chin strap. Last year, the 40K ticketed attendees received the co-branded straw hat and an exclusive limited-edition card from the ONE PIECE CARD GAME featuring One Piece creator Eiichiro Oda’s artwork.
For the July 2 event, fans may receive a card featuring the official promotional artwork that both Toei and the Dodgers have released. However, this is yet to be confirmed. Nonetheless, the Dodgers and Toei’s continued partnership reflects the trend of major anime IPs investing in live events, activations, and localized international promotional campaigns.
After decades of run, One Piece still remains Toei’s top anime franchise, while also being one of the most commercially valuable anime IPs globally. One Piece Night arrives amidst Toei’s push to expand its foothold in North American markets. The studio also announced ONE PIECE Fest 2026, the first-ever One Piece dedicated convention in the U.S., scheduled for Aug 25-26.
