BTS member Jungkook surpassed three billion streams on Spotify with his solo debut single Seven. The milestone, announced on June 23, 2026 by his agency BigHit Music, makes him the first Asian artist to achieve the feat with a single track in the platform's history.
Notably, Seven, from his album GOLDEN, is also the only song released globally in 2023 which crossed the three-billion-stream threshold. For industry stakeholders, the accomplishment highlights a structural shift in global music consumption, depicting that K-pop soloists can also generate the sustained, multi-year streaming volume just like the Western pop mainstays.
The track, which features American rapper Latto, has maintained a rare longevity on international charts. At this moment, Seven sits at No. 64 on Spotify’s all-time most-streamed singles chart and has been experiencing a successful run on the platform's Weekly Top Songs Global chart for 153 weeks.
Jungkook's Seven Sets Global Records Amidst ARIRANG World Tour
Seven secured four Guinness World Records, including the highest weekly stream count for a male artist's track on Spotify with 89,748,171 streams. Globally, the single debuted at No. 1 on the US Billboard Hot 100, and retained itself on the main singles chart for 15 weeks. The Jungkook song led both the Billboard Global 200 and Global Excl US charts for seven consecutive weeks.
Musically, Jungkook's song blends modern pop sensibilities with early 1990s UK garage rhythms and acoustic guitar phrasing. Additionally, the song’s official music video surpassed 600 million views on YouTube in April this year. This record-breaking streaming performance arrives as BTS is currently conducting ARIRANG World Tour. Reportedly, the showcase is regarded as the largest-scale world tour in the group's history, and solidifies their position at the apex of the global live music market.
