The "Hallyu" wave is no longer just a distant tide trying to reach Indian shores; it is about to become a permanent component of India’s local cultural landscape. In a strategic move to standardize this digital diplomacy, the Korea Creative Content Agency (KOCCA) India has announced the launch of its “K-Supporters 2026” program. The initiative is reportedly a high-stakes talent drive looking for the next generation of Indo-Korea cultural ambassadors.
This initiative is themed "K-Content Toward New Horizons," and aims to close the gap between various fandoms and professional content creation. KOCCA is seeking ten elite creators and K-content enthusiasts to formally represent the agency from May 1 through December 31, 2026. This select cohort will be entrusted with the promotion of a broad spectrum of Korean intellectual property. These include K-dramas and music, most notably K-pop, alongside the emerging sectors of gaming, animation, and character design.
Applications for the same opened at 2:00 PM on April 13 and will remain active until 4:00 PM on April 20. Following the submission of the candidature, a high-end review of creative portfolios will be conducted, with the final roster to be revealed around April 21 to April 22.

Merit Over Metrics: KOCCA’s Lean but Competitive Filter
Interestingly, the eligibility leverages more on creative merit than tenure. Although the program is open to both experienced professionals and ambitious freshers, the candidates must be based in the Delhi NCR region. Additionally, they must maintain an active presence on major social platforms like Instagram, X, Facebook, and LinkedIn. Even though the selection parameters seem to be lean, they could be quite demanding. Reportedly, the KOCCA panel will evaluate applicants on the basis of quality, creativity, and consistency of their public social media output.
What Exactly will the K-Supporters Do? What Does Their Perks Include?
For the chosen ten, the mandate is clear: they will produce original content pieces in a monthly manner, ranging from short-form videos, graphic designs, or written editorial pieces, which describe the essence of Korean culture. In return, these "K-Supporters" evolve from spectators to insiders. As per the details mentioned in the social media posts of KOCCA India, the benefits package for these “K-supporters” includes official certification and exclusive merchandise sourced directly from Korea. They will also gain behind-the-scenes access to KOCCA-led initiatives and community engagements.
Application Window to Close on April 20, 4 PM IST
Aspiring applicants need to submit their applications via the official link given in KOCCA India’s social media bios or by scanning the designated QR code as shared on their social media posts. As the search is about to be closed, now is the time for K-content enthusiasts to turn their personal passion into a professional digital legacy.
