Eggo has teamed up with Netflix to launch a limited-edition Golden Brown Sugar Cinnamon Waffles based on KPop Demon Hunters, extending the animated film’s presence into the food market. The product draws from the film’s award-winning song “Golden” and the Korean street food hotteok.
It is now available at major national grocery retailers in the U.S. for a Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) of $3.69 USD.
The waffles use a vibrant, extra-golden hue made with colors from natural sources. They also feature a brown sugar cinnamon flavor inspired by hotteok, a sweet Korean street food pancake traditionally filled with cinnamon sugar.
The collaboration connects the product to both the film’s music and one of the Korean culinary influences represented in the movie.
Eggo Uses KPop Demon Hunters' Music and Korean Influences
The collaboration comes as KPop Demon Hunters continues to generate attention well beyond its original release.
The film was initially developed for a theatrical release through Sony Pictures Animation before being sold to Netflix. The move ultimately positioned the movie as one of the streaming service’s biggest film successes.

The movie became Netflix’s most-watched film based on views accumulated during its first 91 days and continued to hold an unusually long position in the platform’s weekly Top 10. It remained there for 63 weeks before falling out during its 64th week.
Across that run, KPop Demon Hunters accumulated 676.9M views and 1.128B hours watched. The figures have also created a difficult benchmark for its upcoming sequel, since the follow-up will enter with an established audience but will be compared with a first film that achieved sustained viewership over more than a year.
“We’re thrilled to collaborate with Netflix’s hit global phenomenon KPop Demon Hunters to launch a new Eggo waffle flavor,” stated Cara Tragseiler, Growth & Marketing Lead, Eggo. “That will give our fans a delicious way to make mornings more golden.”
KPop Demon Hunters’ Success Creates a Higher Bar for the Sequel
The scale of the original film's performance puts KPop Demon Hunters 2 in a different position from its predecessor. The first movie opened with only 9.2M views and 15.4M hours watched during its debut weekend, which became the lowest totals it recorded during its first 24 weeks. Its audience instead expanded over time, eventually producing the record-setting overall performance.
The sequel is expected to benefit from the existing popularity of Mira, Rumi, and Zoey, as well as HUNTR/X and its music. However, matching the original's cumulative numbers would require the follow-up to sustain audience interest for months rather than relying solely on a large opening.
That distinction also matters for how Netflix measures the sequel.
Replicating the first movie’s performance is not necessarily required for the follow-up to be considered successful. The original’s reach was driven by its characters, story, animation, and music, while audience response will determine whether the sequel earns comparable long-term engagement.

HUNTR/X Interest Extends Into Live Entertainment
The franchise’s music has also continued to generate interest outside Netflix.
At The Hollywood Reporter’s Nominees Night, KPop Demon Hunters star Arden Cho discussed the film during awards season. She also mentioned that she would like to see the singers behind HUNTR/X perform at the Super Bowl next year.
That interest illustrates how the property has expanded beyond a single streaming release. The film’s songs have become a major part of its cultural footprint, while partnerships such as Eggo’s bring elements of the franchise into everyday consumer products.
For Eggo, the collaboration provides a direct connection between its limited-edition product strategy and a film with an established global fan base. For Netflix, it adds another layer to a franchise whose reach now extends across streaming, entertainment events, music, and consumer products.
