Highlights

  • Rising Esports fired its Team Aryan BGMI roster for repeated contract violations.
  • The squad has a history of instability, previously splitting from TMG Gaming.
  • Indian esports is shifting to prioritize professional discipline over raw talent

In a significant move that signals the shifting standards of the Indian esports ecosystem, Rising Esports has officially terminated its contract with its Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) roster, Team Aryan. The organization announced the decision on Tuesday, citing repeated violations of contractual terms as the primary driver behind the split. This development highlights a growing trend in the domestic scene where organizations are prioritising professional structure and discipline over raw competitive potential.

The decision to dissolve the partnership was allegedly not made lightly but was reportedly necessitated by a persistent pattern of non-compliance. According to the statement, the roster breached its contract multiple times within a single month.

Management emphasized that the termination was not an abrupt reaction. They had engaged in several discussions with the players and offered opportunities to rectify their behaviour. However, as the issues continued, the organization felt it had no choice but to part ways to maintain its standards of trust and operational discipline.

Turbulent History and Market Instability

This specific roster has a history of turbulent transitions within the industry. The lineup was previously associated with TMG Gaming, a partnership that ended earlier in 2025 following a dispute over salary demands and allegations of contract breach. Despite qualifying for the PUBG Mobile World Cup (PMWC) 2025 under the TMG banner, the squad chose to separate shortly after.

The exit of Team Aryan reflects a broader wave of instability currently sweeping through India’s BGMI landscape as the 2025 season approaches. Major organizations such as Orangutan, Revenant Esports, and GodLike Esports have also been adjusting their lineups, signalling a highly competitive and somewhat volatile transfer market.

This termination serves as a reminder of the "growing pains" in India’s evolving professional structure. Contractual clarity is becoming paramount as the scene gains international prominence, particularly following BGMI teams being included in international tournaments like the Esports World Cup earlier this year.

Looking ahead, Rising Esports has assured fans that it remains committed to the title, hinting that preparations for a new lineup are already in motion. The organization thanked the departing players for their time, wishing them well in their future endeavours.

For the players of Team Aryan, the immediate future is uncertain, though their strong competitive track record suggests that other organizations would be interested in signing the lineup ahead of the next competitive season.
