Highlights

  • Cloud9 and Team Liquid join the KeSPA Cup 2025, marking the first North American participation.
  • Disney+ secures exclusive global streaming rights, including coverage tied to the 2026 Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games.
  • The tournament runs from Dec. 6 to 14, featuring top LCK teams and invited rosters from Japan and Vietnam.

The KeSPA Cup 2025 will feature North American teams for the first time, with Cloud9 and Team Liquid joining the South Korean tournament in Dec. 2025. The Korea e-Sports Association confirmed that Disney+ will hold exclusive global streaming rights, positioning the event on a mainstream entertainment platform.

The annual League of Legends (LoL) competition remains a key offseason tournament for League of Legends Champions Korea (LCK) teams, and the addition of North American representatives expands its cross-regional scope.

Running from Dec. 6 to Dec. 14, the event will include four invited teams, with Japan and Vietnam also set to send participants, although their final rosters are yet to be announced. All matches will be played online, while the finals will be held live at the Sangam SOOP Colosseum, Seoul, South Korea.

International Teams and Disney+ Rights Shape KeSPA Cup 2025

This year’s KeSPA Cup lineup includes BNK FEARX, OKSavingsBank BRION, Dplus KIA, DWG KIA, DRX, Gen.G, Hanwha Life Esports, KT Rolster, NS RedForce, and T1, alongside the newly added North American teams. Match schedules and bracket details will be released closer to the event.

Disney+ secured exclusive rights through a media partnership announced in Oct. 2025 between the Korea e-Sports Association and The Walt Disney Company Korea. The agreement covers full KeSPA Cup broadcasting and extends to esports-related programming for the 2026 Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games.

The move reflects a broader shift as major streaming platforms integrate competitive gaming into their programming portfolios, driven by a global esports audience that is projected to exceed 640M viewers.

With North America accounting for more than 30% of the global esports market in 2024, the inclusion of U.S. teams aligns with growing international viewership trends. Combined with Disney+ distributing the event globally, the KeSPA Cup 2025 underscores the accelerating connection between traditional media companies and the expanding esports ecosystem.
