New AI platform VLGE is making Roblox a "no-code" shopping mall
VLGE’s AI Tools Are Turning Roblox into a ‘No-Code’ Shopping Mall
The new AI platform gives brands 'no-code' tools to create shoppable Roblox worlds, cutting $100k costs for users like Lancôme and Charlotte Tilbury.
Highlights
- VLGE's "no-code" AI platform lets brands easily build shoppable 3D worlds on Roblox.
- This new tool drastically slashes high development costs (up to $100k) and launch times.
- Backed by L'Oréal, the platform is expanding to Unreal and Vision Pro to power future commerce.
Backed by L'Oréal, the new platform is helping brands like Lancôme and Charlotte Tilbury build "play-to-shop" worlds, slashing development costs that once hit $100,000.
A new AI-powered platform called VLGE is flipping the script on brand activations inside Roblox. It offers a "no-code" editor that allows anyone, from individual creators to massive brands, to build and launch immersive 3D worlds, mini-games, and virtual shopfronts using simple drag-and-drop tools.
This new approach drastically cuts development time and cost. Building a bespoke project on Roblox previously cost brands anywhere from $10,000 to $100,000. Now, experiences can be built in a browser and launched within weeks, removing the steep learning curve and high technical barrier.
The timing is critical, as brands are desperate to connect with Roblox's massive audience, which surged to a new high of 111.8 million daily active users in the second quarter of 2025.
Founded by designer Evelyn Mora, VLGE has raised $5 million in capital from high-profile investors, including the L'Oréal Group, the British Fashion Council, and Lammot J. du Pont of the du Pont family. The platform is already being used by global names such as Lancôme, Charlotte Tilbury, and Vogue Scandinavia.
VLGE also announced its next major initiative: "World Fashion Week". This event will feature 50 fashion brands unveiling their own shoppable Roblox worlds, all powered by the new technology.
AI Tools Pave Way for 'No-Code' Roblox Shopping
"This is significant because Roblox has become fashion’s most powerful youth frontier, yet until now, world-building there has been costly, technical, and complex,” Mora told TechCrunch. “We make it instant, affordable, scalable, and interoperable... They also don’t need to pay tens of thousands and wait for months to launch.”
The platform is betting big on interoperability, allowing creators to publish their experiences not just on Roblox but simultaneously across Unreal Engine, Apple's Vision Pro, and the Web. The company is also working on compatibility with Meta Horizon World.
This move further solidifies Roblox's shift from just a game to a full-fledged creator economy. According to Roblox's own 2025 economic impact report, the platform paid out over $1 billion to its creator community between March 2024 and March 2025 alone, a 31% jump from the previous year.
Mora, who launched VLGE in 2021 to find a sustainable way for designers to connect with Gen Z outside of traditional fashion shows, calls the platform "the infrastructure that will power the next generation of commerce."
VLGE operates on a freemium model, with three additional paid tiers for creators, small businesses, and enterprises. The company also plans to launch an online e-tail store that will sell both physical items and 3D digital assets that can be exported into Roblox.
