Asus Xbox ROG Ally X Demand Surpasses Early Projections

The Asus Xbox ROG Ally X has exceeded Asus’ internal sales forecasts, with the company confirming that demand has outpaced supply since its Oct. 16 launch. Executives told investors the early response was “extremely positive,” led by strong interest in higher-end variants that quickly became limited in stock.

Asus said the traction reflects the growth of Windows-based handheld gaming, a segment it entered several years ago with the first ROG Ally, noting that the early momentum has required an immediate production ramp to stabilize availability.

High Demand Pushes Asus to Boost ROG Ally X Production

Asus, in an investor Q&A, stated that the original handheld was introduced "as a market pioneer," emphasizing the "highly successful" nature of the Windows ecosystem, confirming that the newest model, developed with increased Xbox collaboration, maintains their strategy of premium product positioning.

Asus added that demand for upper-tier configurations has exceeded expectations and confirmed that these units remain in short supply, saying it is now working with component suppliers to increase output and “fill the demand gap that exists.” It reaffirmed that the ROG Ally lineup will remain a core part of its gaming portfolio.

The strong opening week has also pushed revenue expectations higher. Asus now forecasts between $96M and $160M in revenue this fiscal quarter, with estimates of $130M to $160M per quarter going forward as production scales. Market attention on the Asus Xbox ROG Ally X price and activity around the sale is expected to influence demand as supply improves.

With sales surpassing projections and manufacturing ramping up, the ASUS Xbox ROG Ally X is positioned to remain a central device in the expanding handheld gaming market.
