1312 Interactive has raised $1M USD in seed funding to expand indie and AA game publishing across emerging markets, with a focus on premium PC and console titles. The round was led by Chimera Venture Capital and T-accelerate Capital (TAC), with participation from Ventana Ventures, Rohan MC, Rahul Reddy G, and Nara Srinivas.
1312 Interactive Grows its Indie Game Portfolio
Founded by gaming industry veterans Deepak Gurijala and Raviteja Mantena, 1312 Interactive positions itself as India's first dedicated PC and console game publishing house. The company supports developers across production, localization, quality assurance (QA), marketing, distribution, and platform relationships.
Its debut slate includes Palm Sugar: A Village Story from Mono Tusk Studios, Winds of Arcana from Brewed Games, We Are So Cooked from Dwarven Brothers, Souls of Bombarika from Street Lamp Games, and Misadventures of Space Man Biff from Prescription Studios.
Likewise, it plans to add six to eight titles annually while supporting studios in India and other markets.
The seed round follows a pre-seed round backed by Akshat Rathee, Gautam Virk of NODWIN Gaming/GoodGame Investments, Sridhar Muppidi of YesGnome, Rajat Ojha of Gametronics, Tanay Tayal, the founders of PlaySimple, Vatsal Chintalpati, and Rick Herman, formerly of Sony and Amazon.
Early Player Engagement Becomes Part of 1312’s Publishing Strategy
1312 Interactive is also launching 1312 Playground, a community initiative giving studios player feedback, testing, and audience insights during development rather than only after release.
“Great games can come from anywhere,” Gurijala stated, highlighting the need to close the infrastructure gap between emerging-market developers and global audiences.
For India’s premium gaming ecosystem, the move points to a growing need for publishers that can help locally developed games reach audiences beyond the domestic market. 1312 Interactive’s next phase will test whether stronger publishing and earlier player engagement can turn more emerging-market projects into globally viable releases.
