Arknights: Endfield Hits $126.7M Mobile Revenue in Just 6 Months
Gryphline’s Arknights: Endfield hits $126.7M in mobile revenue after six months, fueled by strong Japanese player spending and a massive half-year anniversary update.
Highlights
- Gryphline’s Arknights: Endfield has grossed $126.7M in mobile revenue across the App Store and Google Play in just six months.
- Japan leads global spending at 41%, followed by China at 28% and the US at 9%, outpacing the original game's earnings curve.
- The version 1.4 half-year anniversary update in July triggered a 257% daily spending spike, reviving earnings after a brief fourth-month slump.
Just six months after its highly anticipated global launch, Gryphline’s action RPG Arknights: Endfield has already pulled in a massive $126.7 million USD in player spending across the Apple App Store and Google Play. Released on January 22, 2026, the new spin-off successfully transitioned the beloved franchise from its 2D tower defense roots into a sprawling 3D multi-platform experience, and it has proven to be an incredible hit right out of the gate. Showing a much faster early earnings curve, the game has outpaced the original Arknights to the $100M mark, achieving the major milestone in slightly over three months on mobile, compared to the original game's 12-month climb.
When looking at exactly where this massive financial support is coming from, one country clearly leads the charge. Arknights: Endfield has made 41% of its mobile earnings from players in Japan. China follows as the second-highest contributor with a 28% share of the spending, while the United States ranks third at just 9% during this first half-year. However, it is important to note that these figures, based on AppMagic estimates, strictly cover the two major mobile storefronts.
Because Endfield launched to an audience of 35M pre-registered fans with full cross-progression across PC, PlayStation 5, alternative Chinese Android stores, and an official web shop, the actual global revenue is substantially higher. Back in February, TechNode even reported that the title had generated around $173M across all platforms just two weeks after release.
The journey to this six-month milestone has seen the typical, yet dramatic, fluctuations expected in the gacha game market. The game had a blockbuster release window, making $2.8M on launch day despite a minor glitch with PayPal that erroneously charged some players and led to swift refunds. It followed that up with a massive $4.7M on its second day, January 23, which remains the game's most lucrative day on mobile to date.

Half-Year Anniversary Celebrations Trigger Spike
Half of its initial $100M was made in that first month alone. Revenue then naturally tapered off, bringing in $25.1M in its second month and remaining stable at $22.9M in its third. By the fourth month, spending took a sharp 67% dive, falling to just $7.6M, as per Pocketgamer.biz.
Thankfully for fans and developers alike, the game's sixth month marked a spectacular turnaround, serving as the first true period of growth since launch. Earnings surged by 72% compared to month five, confidently returning the game to eight-figure revenue. This revival was heavily fueled by the version 1.3 update in late June and the highly anticipated version 1.4 half-year anniversary celebrations in July.
When the anniversary update dropped on July 16, introducing a brand-new character named Arcane to the gacha system, it triggered a staggering 257% day-over-day spending spike, raking in $1.7M in a single day.
The soaring success of Endfield only adds to the enduring legacy and staying power of the overall Arknights brand. The original game, which helped establish the universe and even inspired three anime seasons, is currently verging on $1B in lifetime mobile spending. Interestingly, while Japan is the top market for both titles, the original game relies on the region even more heavily, with Japan making up 62% of its lifetime mobile revenue, followed by the US at 15% and South Korea at 10%.
With Endfield's rapid rise and successful leap to a broader console and PC audience, Gryphline has proven that expanding their mobile-exclusive world into a multi-platform action RPG was a gamble that is paying off in dividends.
