Hypergryph and Gryphline’s highly anticipated action RPG, Arknights: Endfield, is on the verge of a massive financial milestone. Just three months after its global launch on Jan 22, 2026, the gacha title is rapidly approaching $100 million USD in mobile revenue. According to AppMagic data, the game has generated a staggering $96.3M in gross player spending across the Apple App Store and Google Play. This strong start highlights the enduring appeal of the Arknights franchise, which has successfully transitioned from its tower defense roots to a full action RPG format while retaining the signature gacha mechanics that capture a global audience.

A closer look at the regional data reveals that Japan is the driving force behind this financial success. Japanese players currently account for 41% of global mobile spending, injecting $39.4M into the game's ecosystem. China holds the second-highest spending share at 28%, while players in the United States and South Korea each make up a 9% share of the total revenue.

Platform preference also played a key role early on. During its first full month, Apple's iOS platform drove the majority of mobile sales, accounting for 61% of the revenue, or $28.3M. Google Play made up the remaining 39%, bringing in $17.7M, as per Pocketgamer. biz.

Beyond Mobile: Cross-Platform Revenue Soars

While nearly $100M on mobile alone is impressive, the game's true revenue is likely much higher. Industry analysts note that these figures exclude the PlayStation 5, PC, the game's official web shop, and third-party Android stores in China. When factoring in all platforms, the Longbridge report estimated that the game earned an incredible $173M in just its two weeks. This cross-platform data reflects a growing player preference for long-term engagement on hardware, with the PC version dominating in China at 60% and the combined PC and PlayStation 5 versions accounting for 70% of the revenue overseas.

Arknights: Endfield experienced a massive initial surge before settling into the typical ebb and flow of the live-service genre. Launch day alone brought in about $2.5M on mobile, peaking at $4.2M globally on January 23rd. By the end of the first month, mobile revenue had reached $46M.

As is common with gacha titles, spending saw a decline heading into early February before spiking again on February 7th alongside a phase-two content drop and a new summoning banner. Since then, the game has seen spending spikes approximately once a fortnight with each new update. Despite these regular content drops, overall monthly revenue did decline over time. From its $49.1M debut, the title fell by more than 50% in month two to $24.3M and dropped by another 7% in the game’s third month to $22.7M.

However, recent updates have sparked a significant rebound. On April 18th, Arknights: Endfield recorded its best-performing day since January 25th, just three days after launch, pulling in an impressive $2.9M.

"At the Wake of Spring" Update

This recent revenue surge coincided with the release of the "At the Wake of Spring" update. The patch introduced fresh story content, new resources, gameplay, combat improvements, and a highly sought-after six-star playable character named Zhuang Fangyi.

As the game's highest rarity, each pull on the gacha yields just a 0.8% chance of obtaining Zhuang Fangyi. However, players are guaranteed to unlock her if they have the resources for 120 gacha pulls by May 22nd. To sweeten the deal, Gryphline also introduced a free month-long rewards pass, offering players daily login items alongside the pre-established paid monthly pass.

The title's strong financial performance is especially notable given a few early stumbling blocks. On launch day, some players observed erroneous expenses due to a payment error involving PayPal. Gryphline quickly disabled the payment option and refunded the impacted players. Despite those initial hiccups, the game's engaging combination of deep action RPG combat and base-building mechanics continues to keep players invested as it pushes toward its next major milestone in the competitive 2026 mobile landscape.
