Highlights

  • Bloober Team has officially confirmed a massive slate of seven games currently in active development.
  • The studio is balancing two flagship projects, including a new original IP and a Nintendo-exclusive horror title.
  • Five additional projects, including Layers of Fear 3, are being managed under the new Broken Mirror Games label.

Fans of spine-chilling survival horror have a lot to look forward to over the next few years. Fresh off the massive success of their critically acclaimed 2024 Silent Hill 2 remake and with Cronos: The New Dawn on the horizon, Polish developer Bloober Team is officially ramping up its production. CEO Piotr Babieno recently confirmed that the studio has a whopping seven video games currently in active development. By shifting to a multi-project structure, the studio hopes to keep a steady stream of terrifying experiences flowing without sacrificing the deep psychological dread that fans have come to expect.

To maintain that signature quality, the company’s internal studios are capping their focus to just two major, first-party titles at any given time. Babieno explained to GamesIndustry.biz that relying on a single game is simply too risky in today's unpredictable gaming market, but tackling more than two would spread their creative oversight too thin. These two core teams are hard at work on what the studio does best: premium, single-player horror experiences with deep emotional themes.

While they are still keeping things somewhat secretive, we know these internal projects include Project H, a brand-new original IP billed as their next major flagship franchise, and Project M, a highly anticipated horror title built exclusively for Nintendo platforms, as per GameRant.

In the distance, a twitching, distorted Bubble Head Nurse stands under a flickering overhead light, emerging from the shadows. Layers of Fear 3 & Unannounced Games Under Broken Mirror

The other five projects on their busy slate are being handled in various stages of development under Bloober's newly established publishing subsidiary, Broken Mirror Games. The studio has confirmed that one of these titles is Layers of Fear 3, but the remaining four are still completely shrouded in mystery. Naturally, this secrecy has the internet rumor mill working overtime. Many fans are heavily speculating that a full remake of the original Silent Hill 1 might be one of those hidden titles, especially since reports surfaced back in October 2025 that the project had entered full production at the studio.

Steering a pipeline this massive requires serious firepower, so Bloober Team has heavily expanded its leadership roster with seasoned industry veterans. Thaine Lyman, formerly a senior leader at Activision and Wargaming, has stepped up as the new Head of Studio. He is joined by new Director of Business Development Katya Baukova, who brings vital experience from Polish gaming heavyweights CD Projekt Red and Techland, alongside new Head of Publishing Michał Gembicki.

It is a remarkable milestone for a company that started back in 2008, making portable games alongside Nibris. After finding their true calling in the late 2010s with chilling hits like Observer, Blair Witch, the original Layers of Fear, and later cementing their legacy in the 2020s with The Medium and their recent remakes, Bloober Team isn't just surviving in the horror genre; they are actively setting the standard for its future.
