EA Sports FC (EAFC) has announced a multi-year partnership with the European Football Clubs organization (EFC), aimed at expanding club visibility, strengthening financial resilience, and supporting community-led initiatives across Europe. The agreement, revealed on Dec. 11, 2025, is open to all EFC member clubs, regardless of size or gender.
The agreement introduces an annual €300K (~$352K USD) funding program, with three clubs each receiving €100K (~$117K) to support community-led initiatives. The first recipients will be revealed at the EFC Club Connect event in Lisbon in March 2026, positioning the EA Sports FC football clubs’ partnership as a funding pathway alongside digital exposure.
In addition to grants, the EA Sports FC European clubs' collaboration creates new routes for teams to be featured in future titles. More European sides will be considered for inclusion, starting with EA Sports FC 27, alongside access to co-branded digital content, fan engagement tools, and in-game activations designed to expand clubs’ digital reach.
EA Sports FC Partnership Strengthens European Football Clubs
EFC CEO, Charlie Marshall, said the EA Sports FC partnership is designed to modernize club football and unlock new revenue opportunities. “EFC's partnership with EA SPORTS FC represents a defining moment for our Member Clubs,” Marshall added, noting the role of community grants, digital activations, and in-game licensing in recognizing clubs for their local impact.
EA Sports FC spokesperson, James Salmon, said the initiative reflects the franchise’s focus on football communities. “This partnership with EFC is about celebrating that authenticity and creating new opportunities for clubs of all sizes to connect with fans in meaningful, lasting ways,” he added.
Support from the EFC Foundation will help sustain selected projects over time. An early fan-facing example of how EA Sports FC partners with European football clubs will appear in EA Sports FC Mobile, where players can add ICON Marcel Desailly to their Ultimate Team as part of a dedicated in-game activation.
The deal aligns with EFC’s broader strategy to redistribute value across its network of more than 800 clubs, while linking community impact with digital engagement and global visibility.
