How to Play EA Sports FC 27 for Free

EA SPORTS FC 27 (EAFC 27) is available alongside a free, limited version called EAFC 27 Lite, which launched on Sep 25, 2026. It gives players access to selected game modes without purchasing the full version or being restricted by the 10-hour EA Play trial.

How to Download EAFC 27 Lite

EAFC 27 Lite is available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC through the EA app, Steam, and Epic Games Store. Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 are not currently listed as supported platforms.

Players can download it by:

• Searching for EAFC 27 Lite
• Selecting the free version
• Downloading and installing the game
• Signing in with an EA Account

A persistent internet connection is required for every mode, including Kick-Off.

What is Included in EAFC 27 Lite?

The free version includes Learn to Play, Online Friendlies, Kick-Off, and Online Seasons. Kick-Off features House Rules, Classic Match, and Rush 3v3, while Online Seasons lets players compete in 1v1 matches and progress through divisions.

At launch, Kick-Off includes a limited selection of Bayern Munich, Chelsea, Real Madrid, and OL Lyonnes. EA says the available selection can rotate.

Ultimate Team, ‘The Grounds,’ and Manager Career are excluded. FC Clubs is also not listed among the available modes.

Players who upgrade later can carry their progress into the full game if they use the same EA Account and remain on the same platform.

The announcement has generated mixed reactions on X (formerly Twitter). @LONESTAROFHOPE called the free online access "crazy," while @LegitTommey described the release as "pretty much a demo version."

Meanwhile, @allan_eshun also questioned the absence of FC Clubs.

The reactions reflect the main limitation of EAFC 27 Lite. It offers a way to play selected game content for free, but players seeking Career Mode, Ultimate Team, or the game's broader feature set still need the full release.
