  • Kojima Productions and ASUS ROG unveiled the ROG Flow Z13-KJP at CES 2026.
  • The device features an AMD Ryzen AI Max+ 395 processor and Nebula HDR Display for high-end gaming and creation.
  • Releasing in H1 2026, the lineup includes matching peripherals like a headset and mouse.

In a major reveal at CES 2026, Kojima Productions has announced its most ambitious hardware collaboration to date, teaming up with ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) to release the ROG Flow Z13-KJP. This high-performance gaming tablet marks a rare crossover between auteur game design and top-tier consumer electronics, positioning the new device as a "dream gadget" for fans of the Death Stranding studio. The partnership extends beyond just the tablet, introducing a full line of matching PC accessories expected to hit the global market in the first half of 2026.

The visual identity of the ROG Flow Z13-KJP is its standout feature, having been personally overseen by legendary Art Director Yoji Shinkawa. Moving away from standard gaming aesthetics, Shinkawa reimagined the popular ASUS 2-in-1 hybrid through the lens of the studio's "Ludens" mascot.

The chassis features angular CNC-milled aluminum cutouts, real carbon fiber accents, and industrial warning labels that mirror the prop design found in Hideo Kojima’s games. Shinkawa noted that his vision was to create a gadget that feels like it belongs to Ludens, integrating that specific essence directly into the PC's industrial design.

Next-Gen Power Meets Iconic Design

Under the hood, the device is built to handle demanding creative workloads and high-end gaming without needing to rely on cloud streaming. It is powered by the new AMD Ryzen AI Max+ 395 processor paired with Radeon 8060S graphics. In a shift from traditional laptop builds, the system uses a unified 128GB memory architecture that dynamically allocates resources between the processor and graphics card. These specifications drive a 13.4-inch Nebula HDR Display with a 2.5K resolution and a 180Hz refresh rate, ensuring smooth visuals for both esports competitors and casual players, perfect for play and creation anywhere.

To complete the desktop ecosystem, the collaboration includes a suite of themed peripherals. ASUS and Kojima Productions introduced the ROG Delta II-KJP headset, the ROG Keris II Origin-KJP mouse, and the ROG Scabbard II XXL-KJP mouse mat, as reported by VGC.

Each accessory sports a white, gold, and grey color scheme along with the slogan "For Ludens Who Dare." The package is rounded out with a Death Stranding-style carry case and a themed power adapter. While exact pricing hasn't been confirmed, the entire collection is slated for release later this year.

This hardware push comes at a busy time for the studio as it expands the Death Stranding IP across multiple media formats. Alongside the new gear, Kojima Productions is reportedly moving forward with several narrative projects, including the animated movie Death Stranding: Mosquito, a Disney+ series tentatively titled Death Stranding Isolation, and a live-action film produced by A24.
