Highlights

  • Meta quietly launches Pocket, an AI app for creating interactive games with text prompts.
  • Pocket builds on Meta's acquisition of the Gizmo engineering team.
  • The app is rolling out in select regions with AI-powered creation and sharing features.

Meta has quietly introduced Pocket, a new AI-powered mobile app that lets users create and share interactive experiences using text prompts. The app appeared on the Apple App Store and Google Play around June 29, 2026, according to Appfigures. However, Meta has not officially announced its launch.

The rollout is currently limited to select regions.

Pocket is described as "a creative platform for making and sharing gizmos." These gizmos are small AI-generated interactive experiences that users can create simply by describing an idea. The app also includes a discovery feed where users can browse, play, like, comment on, and save creations into playlists.

Pocket Follows Meta's Gizmo Acquisition

Pocket builds on Meta's acquisition of the engineering team behind Atma Sciences' Gizmo earlier in 2026. The original Gizmo platform offered a similar AI-powered system for generating interactive apps and games through text prompts. According to Appfigures, Gizmo recorded around 635K lifetime installs across iOS and Android with 98% positive user sentiment.

The Google Play listing shows that Pocket supports experiences that respond to touch, sound, phone tilt, the camera, and photos stored on a device. Users can also edit and refine their creations before sharing them publicly.

Pocket Adds Interactive AI Creation to Meta's App Lineup

A prominent industry leaker and reverse engineer, Alessandro Paluzzi, first spotted the app and posted on X that "Meta is working on a new app called Pocket," describing it as "a new creative platform to make and share gizmos." Meta's Help Center further indicates the app is currently available only in select regions, suggesting the rollout remains in its early stages.

Pocket expands Meta's consumer AI portfolio alongside Vibes, Meta AI, and Edits.

Unlike those products, Pocket focuses on AI-generated interactive content that users can build without coding. While Meta has not officially commented on the app yet, its launch reflects the company's continued investment in consumer AI experiences.
