Highlights

  • One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4 gets a next-gen console release on November 21.
  • New DLC packs are dropping on the same day and continuing into 2026.
  • Netflix's live-action One Piece Season 2 is set for a March 2026 premiere.

Get ready to set sail again, One Piece fans. Publisher Bandai Namco has made it official: One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4 is getting a full next-generation launch. The super-popular pirate brawler is scheduled to land on the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and the new Nintendo Switch 2 on November 21, 2025. A new trailer just dropped alongside the announcement, showing off the upgraded chaos.

This isn't just a simple re-release. Bandai Namco confirmed that these new versions will have major graphical boosts and an optimised engine for much smoother performance, and the next-gen hardware will allow for a much larger number of enemies on-screen at once, dialling up the game's massive hack-and-slash battles to a whole new level.

That November 21 release date is also when a fresh wave of content arrives for everyone. The long-awaited "Character Pack No. 7", officially named the "Future Island Egghead Pack", will be available to download the same day. This DLC, which is based on the current arc in the One Piece anime, adds three new playable characters to the roster: Rob Lucci, the S-Snake, and Jewelry Bonney.

Character Pack 8 Adds Eneru, King, & Z in 2026

Bandai Namco also confirmed that support for the game will continue into 2026. Character Pack No. 8 is already slated for an early release next year. Based on a fan survey held earlier this year, this pack is set to include Eneru, King the Conflagration, and "Z", the main villain from One Piece Film: Z.

One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4 first launched back in March 2020 and has already sold over 4 million units by blending Dynasty Warriors (Musou) action with the One Piece universe. The game adapts several major storylines, from the "East Blue Saga" all the way through the "Wano Country" arc, including stops at Alabasta, Enies Lobby, and Whole Cake Island.

The Wano arc was an original version for the game, as the manga wasn't finished at the time of its release. As of early November 2025, the roster for the game consists of 43 characters, with the last pack (March 2024) adding legends like Gol D. Roger, Silvers Rayleigh, and Monkey D. Garp.

In other big One Piece news, Netflix also recently announced that its live-action Season 2, officially titled One Piece: Into the Grand Line, is set to premiere on March 10, 2026. This season is expected to cover the "Loguetown" arc and will finally introduce Tony Tony Chopper, who is set to be portrayed by Mikaela Hoover.
