  • The campaign supports UNICEF’s Sustainable Development Goals through gaming.

Team Liquid has announced a partnership with UNICEF to promote education, inclusion, and youth development through gaming. Revealed during the organization’s World Tour stop in London, the collaboration begins on Nov. 20 with a global charity streaming campaign led by Team Liquid’s content creators.

The campaign will focus on UNICEF’s Sustainable Development Goals, with livestreams encouraging donations and participation from fans worldwide. Further details will be revealed during the broadcast.

Team Liquid co-CEO Victor Goossens said the collaboration reflects the organization’s long-term vision of empowering youth through gaming, “As a teenager, gaming taught me about new cultures, helped me develop a work ethic and gave me a goal to strive towards,” he said, adding that working with UNICEF aligns with Team Liquid’s mission to help children worldwide in “reaching their full potential.”

Gaming Becomes a Platform for Global Good

Team Liquid and UNICEF will co-develop in-game activations within popular titles, integrating social awareness messages into gameplay. The goal is to use gaming’s global reach to inspire young audiences and connect them with humanitarian causes in an interactive way.

UNICEF previously partnered with Fnatic in 2020 for the Got Your Back campaign, which promoted positivity and mental well-being in gaming spaces. Its continued engagement with esports underscores how the medium can amplify global advocacy and youth empowerment.

Team Liquid has a consistent history of supporting social initiatives. In 2021, it partnered with IMC for a 24-hour charity stream benefitting Room to Read, and earlier this year, it raised funds for LGBTQ+ projects through Pride-themed jerseys at the Esports World Cup.

By joining forces, Team Liquid and UNICEF highlight the expanding role of esports in driving social change. The initiative demonstrates how gaming communities can contribute to education and equality worldwide.
