Highlights

  • Wuthering Waves x Cyberpunk: Edgerunners launches in June 2026.
  • Lucy will join as a limited 5-star unit, while Rebecca will be free.
  • The Wuthering Waves version 3.4 will add new combat systems, an Adam Smasher boss fight, and more.

Kuro Games is making one of its biggest live-service moves yet with Wuthering Waves Version 3.4. The studio confirmed that Rebecca from the Netflix anime, Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, will be available for free when the crossover launches on June 10, 2026, on mobile, PC, and PS5.

The update marks Wuthering Waves’ first collaboration with an external intellectual property (IP) since the game launched in May 2024. Lucy and Rebecca will both join the roster as playable 5-star Resonators, with Lucy available through a limited banner while Rebecca will be distributed free through the collaboration event.

The announcement was formally unveiled through the Good Morning, Solaris! trailer released May 7, 2026, on the game’s official YouTube and X handles.

Rebecca’s free release is unusual for the gacha market, where crossover characters are typically locked behind premium pulls. Kuro Games has not confirmed the exact distribution method, though current event information points toward milestone rewards or an event exchange system rather than a login campaign.

Wuthering Waves x Cyberpunk: Edgerunners Collab Brings Lucy and Rebecca Into Combat

Lucy, also known as Lucyna Kushinada, arrives as a Spectro Pistol character built around monowire attacks and hacking mechanics adapted from the anime. Gameplay footage shown in the trailer points toward a fast mid-range combat style tied to a new “Tune Hack” system created specifically for the crossover.

Meanwhile, Rebecca appears to take a different role focused on burst damage and firearm-heavy combat. While current gameplay details circulating in the community suggest Havoc or Electro attributes, Kuro Games has not officially confirmed her final kit. Her animation style, however, closely mirrors the combat style seen in Cyberpunk: Edgerunners.

Adam Smasher Boss Fight and Solaris-3 Event Details

Rather than creating a separate Night City map, Version 3.4 integrates the collaboration directly into Solaris-3, the post-apocalyptic world and primary setting of Wuthering Waves. The update also includes an Adam Smasher-themed boss challenge and references to the Yaiba Muramasa motorbike, which is expected to appear as a vehicle skin.

Lucilla, a new Glacio Rectifier character original to Wuthering Waves, will debut during the patch’s second phase. David Martinez also appears briefly in promotional footage wearing his signature yellow jacket, though Kuro Games has not announced him as a playable unit.

The collaboration brings together two franchises that built large global audiences through their distinct sci-fi settings and combat-focused storytelling. Released on Netflix in 2022, Cyberpunk: Edgerunners was produced by CD Projekt Red and Studio TRIGGER and helped revive Cyberpunk 2077’s player numbers after the game’s launch struggles.

For Wuthering Waves, the crossover marks a broader push into high-profile anime partnerships. The move also comes as live-service role-playing games (RPGs) increasingly compete through limited-time collaboration events and exclusive characters.
