Audrey Nuna Teams Up with Riot for VCT Pacific Anthem superHuman

Riot Games will launch its official anthem for the 2026 Valorant Champions Tour Pacific Stage 2 tournament on Friday (August 7, 2026). The track, titled superHuman, will be voiced by singer-songwriter Audrey Nuna and will be dropped as the Asia-Pacific regional league enters the final window of its group stage by the end of this week.

The release is Nuna's second project with Riot Games after she and KiNG MALA collaborated with the organization as part of Valorant’s music, where they released the track Toxic in January 2026. Nuna, notably, produced the track with Grammy-winner Cirkut, who has also worked with artists Rihanna, Katy Perry, Lady Gaga, and The Weeknd. Additionally, he also co-produced Miley Cyrus's Wrecking Ball, Maroon 5's Girls Like You, and BTS Jungkook's Standing Next to You.

Entertainment as Esports Infrastructure

Riot Games has been progressively deploying original music to create commercial and regional identities for its competitive leagues. Instead of depending completely on global tournament themes, regional circuits like VCT Pacific now routinely commission anthems for specific leagues. Notably, VCT Pacific has also collaborated earlier with Japanese rapper Yuki Chiba for its 2025 Stage 2 anthem. Meanwhile, global Valorant events have featured artists such as KISS OF LIFE and Mark Tuan.

The strategy acts as a direct commercial function. VCT Pacific Stage 2 locks in global qualification routes and provides critical Championship points needed for global tournament berths. Widening the broadcast's cultural reach may potentially help Riot to pull in non-endemic viewers into competitive streams.

Convergence of Streaming and Gaming IP

The decision to partner with Nuna builds on her expanded global profile following Netflix's 2025 animated film KPop Demon Hunters. Nuna provided the singing voice for Mira, a member of the fictional group HUNTR/X, exposing her work to global streaming and animation audiences beyond traditional music channels. She has also simultaneously been building her solo career, with releases like her 2024 project, Trench. By combining Korean-origin music, streaming IP, and competitive gaming, Riot is making its regional leagues broader entertainment properties.

While speaking on the collaboration, according to Korea JoongAng Daily, Jake Sin, head of Valorant Esports APAC said, “Music is a core part of the culture that defines VCT Pacific, and we are thrilled to partner with a world-class artist like Audrey Nuna to create this year’s anthem.” “Audrey’s unique energy and vision capture the spirit of our league—a blend of incredible style, diverse talent, and relentless competition,” Jake added further.

On the other hand, Nuna described the track as a “portal.” “I wrote this song at a time in my life where a lot was changing very quickly, and I felt more perceived by the world than I ever had before,” she said. “I wanted to capture that feeling—of redemption, of validation, of the tides finally turning.” As for the VCT Stage 2 matches, they will stream across regional platforms SOOP and Chzzk, alongside YouTube, as teams compete for global playoff spots.
