A decade of BLACKPINK: Korea Post honors the group with its first-ever girl group commemorative stamp collection.
BLACKPINK To Get Featured on Korean Stamps
With the price ranging from $6 to $17 USD, the BLACKPINK stamps will be available nationally and globally from mid-June.
- BLACKPINK is the first K-pop girl group to get featured on commemorative stamps from Korea Post.
- The stamp release reflects BLACKPINK’s cultural rise from a music act into a global force.
- The BLACKPINK stamp collection will be sold worldwide through YG Select beginning in June.
Appearing on a postage stamp was conventionally reserved for the presidents or historical figures; however, as Korean pop culture goes global, its home country is also simultaneously upgrading itself. On June 16, that effect will be highlighted even more as the South Korean Ministry of Science and ICT’s Korea Post will release a commemorative collection featuring BLACKPINK, the first K-pop girl group act to receive the honor.
BLACKPINK Becomes A Global Cultural Force Beyond Music
The move does not just recognize BLACKPINK’s music, but acknowledges their decade-long cultural siege. Marking their 10th anniversary, the quartet has evolved from an act to a global diplomatic asset just like BTS. The group has headlined events like Coachella and a major music festival at London's BST Hyde Park in front of a sold-out crowd of 65,000 fans in 2023, while also advocating for sustainable development goals at the United Nations.
Additionally, BLACKPINK’s second studio album, BORN PINK, broke records as the first girl group release to surpass 2 million sales. On the other hand, their third EP, DEADLINE, held the highest position for first-week sales for any K-pop act. Notably, the BLACKPINK stamp set will have 10 types of stamps that will chronicle their evolution. According to a report by The Chosun Daily, the commemorative stamp packet will be released along with symbols associated with their albums, portraits of the members and vibrant stage images.
The media outlet also quoted YG Entertainment’s statement, “This will allow fans to experience the moments of time and music that BLACKPINK has walked through in a new form.” The company further added, “We hope that through this medium of stamps, it will become a precious gift to be cherished by BLINKs around the world for a long time.”
BLACKPINK Dominates Fashion And Media In 2026
The timing of the announcement aligns with the group's persistent popularity on the highest stages of fashion and media. Recently, all four members of the band appeared at the Met Gala 2026 in New York. Interestingly, 2026 marked an eventful year for Jisoo, as she made her debut at the Met Gala while also winning the prestigious Madame Figaro Rising Star Award at the Canneseries festival. At the Met Gala, the group maintained their tradition of clicking a bathroom group selfie, which showcased their bonding beyond the stage.
How Much BLACKPINK’s Commemorative Stamps Will Cost Globally
The cost of the BLACKPINK stamps begins at ₩8,800 (~ $6 USD) for the 10-stamp sheet, while a premium commemorative packet is priced at ₩25,000 (~ $17.02). Although the official release begins mid-June at post offices all through South Korea, advance online sales for Korea Post members will begin from May 12 to May 15 (presale time to start from 7 p.m. KST). The stamps will also be available globally via YG Entertainment’s YG Select.
