All BTS ARIRANG Tracks Hit 200 Million Spotify Streams
The 132-day run nearly surpasses earlier records, showcasing a consistent demand across ARIRANG’s full 14-track album.
Highlights
- BTS’ ARIRANG surpassed major streaming marks set by blockbuster albums like Taylor Swift’s The Life of a Showgirl by a significant figure.
- The septet's milestone emphasizes broad engagement throughout the entire tracklist of its latest release.
- ARIRANG previously crossed 1 billion total Spotify streams within 16 days of launch.
BTS’ latest album, ARIRANG, has set the benchmark as the fastest release in Spotify history to have every song cross 200 million streams, requiring 132 days in total to hit the milestone. The K-pop group surpassed previous marks of 260 days established by Taylor Swift’s The Life of a Showgirl, reaching the threshold in about half the time.
As per data compiled by Genius Korea, Swift’s 2022 album Midnights required 318 days for every song to hit 200M plays, while Billie Eilish’s 2024 release Hit Me Hard and Soft took 348 days. Bad Bunny’s 2022 album Un Verano Sin Ti and Olivia Rodrigo’s 2021 debut SOUR crossed the mark in 367 days and 430 days, respectively. Compared to them, ARIRANG has achieved the record quite quickly, far ahead of these major releases in recent years.
ARIRANG’s Deep Catalog Dynamics
The metric studies uniform listening across an entire release rather than aggregate streams driven by single breakout songs. Surpassing 200M streams across a 14 track list needs consistent listener engagement, a consumption pattern which is quite a remarkable feat that the group has achieved in the current times.
Notably, the final track of ARIRANG which hit the 200M threshold was No. 29, an interlude created based on the sounds of Korea’s Sacred Bell of Great King Seongdeok. The experimental piece illustrates how non-lyric music can also generate sustained consumption.
BTS ARIRANG: A Broad Streaming Sustenance
The 132-day achievement depicts a high-volume streaming cycle for ARIRANG. Previously in its release window, the venture became the fastest album by a group and by an Asian act to hit the 1B Spotify streams mark in 16 days.
Meanwhile, the album produced the largest first-day Spotify streaming total for any K-pop release. Reportedly, upon its launch, all 14 tracks simultaneously occupied all the top 14 positions on Spotify's Global Daily Top Songs chart, while also being the first musical project of 2026 to have every track hit the 100M streaming-mark in 53 days.
ARIRANG’s streaming trajectory adds another point to BTS’ position in the global music market. The milestone also shows how established fan ecosystems, global accessibility, and long-term listener retention persistently shape the performance of key releases in the digital streaming era.
