Highlights

  • Busan is scaling up its K-pop push after BTS' blockbuster concerts, as BOF 2026 becomes the city's next major global tourism test.
  • The festival's lineup brings together some of the popular names of the K-pop industry in recent times.
  • Apart from the stadium shows, Busan’s bigger cultural ambition aims to reshape the city into a year-round Hallyu destination.

Fresh off the economic and cultural windfall of the recent BTS Arirang concerts, the city of Busan is now trying to redefine itself as Asia's premier music export hub. The 2026 Busan One Asia Festival (BOF) authorities recently announced the complete lineup for the event via their social media channels.

Marking its 10th anniversary, the flagship global festival will have its main stages at the Busan Asiad Main Stadium on June 27 and 28. Just like the BTS concerts, this event is also set to be another important evaluation point for the city’s capacity to transform fleeting fandom spikes into long-term tourism infrastructure, as South Korea’s major southeastern port builds its global cultural branding.

Treasure, RIIZE, Hearts2Hearts Lead Busan One Asia Festival 2026 Lineup

The two-day main event will have a highly curated roster of Hallyu talent, which is designed to drive ticket sales and international travel bookings. On June 27, the stadium will host acts like YG Entertainment’s Treasure, AKMU, and NCT’s Haechan, alongside veteran performer U-Know Yunho, CRAVITY, 8TURN, KiiiKiii, Hearts Waves, and NYXIE. The second night, June 28, will have rising industry trendsetters performing. The June 28 performances will be headlined by SM Entertainment’s prominent boy group RIIZE, alongside soloist Lee Young-ji, tripleS, idntt, EVAN (formerly Heeseung of ENHYPEN), Jang Han-eum, KickFlip, Hearts2Hearts, and Kim So-hee.

Free Park Concert Expands Busan K-pop Festival

To get a hold of the early domestic footfall and economic impact across the region, municipal organizers are reportedly set to launch a free, open-air Park Concert on June 20 at Hwamyeong Eco Park in the Buk District. The daytime showcase will reportedly feature independent local acts like Bandkirin and Hathaw9y, followed by popular chart-toppers Lee Mu-jin and Zion.T. By expanding the festival's reach beyond the main stadium in Busan, the domestic authorities aim to embed regional beauty, fashion, and food pop-up exhibitions directly into the tourist itinerary, an initiative backed by South Korea’s Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism's “K-pop Support Program.”

Busan Bets on K-pop Tourism Growth with BOF 2026

Although the park performance is free of cost, the official ticketing distribution for the BOF is being done through the platforms NOL, NOL Ticket and NOL World. As noted by Korean media, the city officials expect the event to be a milestone achievement for the local administration. Pulse by Maeil Business News added in an official statement that Busan’s Mayor Park Heong-joon said, “We will make thorough preparations so that both domestic and international visitors can experience unique Korean Wave content in Busan,” which signals that the city’s municipal structure is particularly geared towards sustaining its post-mega-concert momentum.
