  • Galaxy Corp. is set to establish a Dubai base, indicating a strategic leap in its “Entertech 2.0” global expansion model.
  • Last week, a high-level meeting was held between Cho Sung-hae and Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, highlighting the UAE’s increased global partnerships based on media and advanced technology integration.
  • Reportedly, backed by the Dubai Media Council, the move makes Dubai a center where culture, AI, and robotics come together.

Galaxy Corp., the strategic force supporting K-pop icon G-Dragon, has gained a historic foothold in the United Arab Emirates. As the first South Korean entertainment entity, Galaxy Corp. is set to establish a permanent regional base called Galaxy ME in the area. On Friday (April 17, 2026), the announcement of the company’s ME arm signaled that it is transitioning from traditional artist management towards an ambitious "Entertech 2.0" concept, making Dubai an anchor for the firm's global aims.

Galaxy Corp. expands UAE partnerships with Dubai leadership

The newly formed entity is reportedly designed to boost global growth via high-level partnerships with UAE government bodies and academic institutions. Since then, the move has gained quite significant diplomatic weight. Notably, on April 16, 2026, a meeting was held between Cho Sung-hae, CEO of Galaxy ME and co-founder of Galaxy Corp., and Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Second Deputy Ruler of Dubai. As noted by the Korea Herald, their dialogue was based on the intersection of media and advanced technologies, especially how its integration can solidify Dubai’s status as a premium hub for the creative economy.

Entertech 2.0 drives Dubai’s AI-powered cultural hub vision

After the meeting, the Deputy Ruler reportedly highlighted via social media that the Dubai Media Council is actively developing international partnerships to bolster innovation across the media sector at home and abroad alike. As reported by the Korea Herald, Cho further emphasized that this expansion was a mission to produce newer industries where culture meets with artificial intelligence and robotics.

Notably, Galaxy Corp. intends to use the Dubai entity as a strategic launchpad for the "Global South," targeting high-growth emerging markets across Africa, Asia, and Latin America. "Even in a time of great uncertainty, we established our Middle East hub in Dubai because of our confidence in the UAE’s vision and execution," stated Choi Yong-ho, CEO of Galaxy Corp.
