Renowned shōnen manga, Hunter x Hunter, has surpassed 100M circulating copies worldwide, including digital editions, as of June 28, 2026. The Shueisha announcement marked a major publishing milestone for Yoshihiro Togashi’s long-running manga, timed with its return from hiatus.
Hunter x Hunter manga is ending its 18-month hiatus on June 29, when manga chapter 411 publishes in Weekly Shonen Jump’s Issue 31. Additionally, the manga franchise is releasing its latest volume, Vol. 39, on July 3, in Japan, compiling the latest chapters from the Succession Contest arc.
What Shueisha Announced for Hunter x Hunter Manga's 100 Million Milestone
To commemorate the achievement, Shueisha launched a dedicated “Shibuya Hunter Town” campaign and a new website on June 28. Shibuya Hunter Town runs from June 29 to July 5, featuring more than 100 characters across the city for fans to find via street ads and QR codes.
Additionally, on July 3, the publisher will run a thank-you advertisement in The Asahi Shimbun and release a commemorative promotional video (PV) marking the milestone. Shonen Jump+ and the Zebrack app are also offering 340 chapters, spanning the Hunter Exam Arc to the Election and Alluka Arc.
The 100M achievement places Hunter x Hunter manga among a select group of manga franchises that have surpassed nine-digit circulation, joining several of Weekly Shonen Jump’s most commercially successful titles, including Jujutsu Kaisen. The timing of the announcement remains significant, adding momentum to the upcoming Hunter x Hunter releases.
The new volume consists of 208 pages and is listed at ¥572 ($3.54 USD) under Shueisha’s Jump Comics catalog listing. It will mark Togashi’s first new tankobon since Volume 38 shipped in September 2024.
