Highlights

  • Jennie rises to No. 2 on Billboard's Radio Songs chart with Dracula.
  • The feat adds to a short list of K-pop success on one of Billboard's most competitive U.S. music charts.
  • The track's latest radio achievement arrives alongside a 13th consecutive week at No. 1 on Hot Rock Songs, expanding its multi-chart run.

Jennie's collaborative song with Tame Impala, Dracula, climbed to a new career-high as it reached No. 2 on Billboard's all-format Radio Songs chart, for the week ending on August 8. The track was blocked from the summit by Olivia Dean's So Easy (To Fall in Love), leaving the BLACKPINK star short of one position to attain another historic milestone.

According to Forbes, a No. 1 finish for Jennie would make her the second K-pop artist, after EJAE and team, known for KPop Demon HuntersGolden, to top the Radio Songs chart. The ranking measures audience impressions throughout all U.S. radio formats, making it one of Billboard's most competitive charts for South Korean acts, since they have historically struggled to gain traction here.

Radio Songs Success Places Jennie Among K-pop's Elite

Jennie’s latest success builds on her previous breakthroughs. In June, Dracula became her first Radio Songs top-10 hit, making her one of very few K-pop soloists to reach that position. Forbes also noted that only two K-pop songs had reached Billboard's Radio Songs top 10 tally prior to Jennie's Dracula and KPop Demon Hunters Golden. Notably, those two songs are none other than BTS' Dynamite, and the Rosé-Bruno Mars collab Apt.

Dracula Keeps Billboard Under Its Spell

Jennie’s achievement on the radio charts came alongside another Billboard victory. As per industry reports, Dracula remained No. 1 on the Hot Rock Songs chart for a 13th consecutive week while expanding its overall run to 43 weeks. The track also kept Dominic Fike's Babydoll at No. 2, preventing the song from claiming its first Hot Rock Songs No. 1 despite attaining new peaks on Alternative Airplay, Rock & Alternative Airplay and Radio Songs charts.

The twin chart performances reinforce the song's sustained appeal in the U.S. market. Although Dracula Remix persistently dominates Billboard's rock rankings, its stable climb on the Radio Songs chart has established it as one of the strongest-performing crossover singles by a K-pop soloist on mainstream American radio.
