  • Fresh off the success of her solo album and songs, the singer's festival run will continue with Lollapalooza, Mad Cool Festival, and Summer Sonic 2026.

BLACKPINK’s Jennie made history over the weekend, after she secured a milestone by becoming the first K-pop artist to headline European festivals back-to-back. The artist anchored the main stages at Denmark’s Roskilde Festival on July 3, 2026, and Poland’s Open’er Festival on July 4, 2026, marking a significant structural shift. In both festivals, she performed her usual hits like Mantra, ExtraL, Starlight, and Like Jennie, according to her agency, OA Entertainment.

The consecutive shows highlight an evolving strategy for European show organizers, who are increasingly trying to use global streaming powerhouses alongside traditional rock and alternative lineups. According to Yonhap, Open'er organizers described Jennie as "one of the most influential female artists of this era."

Jennie Open'er Festival 2026 Set Debuts New Songs?

The Jennie Open'er Festival 2026 setlist comprised 17 tracks, including three unreleased songs, which acted as an early indicator of new music release. At the festival, she performed Lock It Down, a dance-pop track she debuted at the Governors Ball. She also performed to her emotional ballad Heaven and Less Than A Lover. “It feels really special to share new music with this many people,” said Jennie, as noted by Billboard. “I really can’t wait to share this new music with you soon,” she added further.

Jennie Roskilde Festival 2026 Success Fuels European Festival Run

The night prior, the Jennie Roskilde Festival 2026 performance drew a substantial portion of the event’s 130,000 attendees, who were mostly Scandinavian. As noted by Yonhap, Thomas Sønderby Jepsen, Roskilde’s head of music, said, "Jennie's inclusion reflects current trends and reinforces Roskilde's identity as a festival moving toward the future."

The success of these BLACKPINK Jennie Europe festival performances comes after her sustained runs on global charts. Jennie’s Dracula Billboard Hot 100 trajectory spanned 39 consecutive weeks on the chart, peaking at No. 10, while also reaching No. 1 on the Pop Airplay chart dated July 11. This track, alongside Jennie’s Ruby album Spotify streams, which surpassed 3 billion, makes her a highly viable solo headliner in recent times.

After these two festivals, Jennie's Mad Cool Festival 2026 appearance in Spain will further bolster her international lineup. She is also scheduled to perform at Japan's Summer Sonic 2026 event. Additionally, Jennie’s Lollapalooza Chicago 2026 performance later this year is set to strengthen her place in the live music space.
