Highlights

  • Jujutsu Kaisen Vol. 30 secured the No. 1 spot on Circana BookScan’s Top 20 Adult Graphic Novels chart for June 2026.
  • The franchise dominated the chart, claiming five of the Top 10 positions.
  • Beyond Jujutsu Kaisen, manga remained the driving force of the graphic novel market, with 17 spots going to manga among the 20.

Jujutsu Kaisen manga placed eight volumes on Circana BookScan’s Top 20 Adult Graphic Novels list for June, with Volume 30 holding the No. 1 position. According to the Circana data reported by ICv2 on July 14, Jujutsu Kaisen Vol. 30 retained No. 1 position for the second month in a row after topping the rankings in May.

Similar to previous months, manga continues to dominate the rankings, but Jujutsu Kaisen stood apart by placing multiple volumes in the Top 20 and proving its commercial strength. Compiled from Circana BookScan weekly point-of-sale data from May 31 to July 4, the monthly chart tracks graphic novel sales across roughly 85% of the U.S. trade print book market.

Gege Akutami’s Jujutsu Kaisen (JJK) manga held five spots among the chart’s top ten slots, with Vol. 1 at fourth position, down one spot from May. JJK Vol. 29 took fifth position, while Vol. 2 and Vol. 0 were at No. 7 and No. 9, respectively.

Before getting displaced by JJK Vol. 30, the manga’s 29th volume held the top position and stayed on the chart for three months consecutively. Apart from the newer volumes, older volumes such as Vol. 1 and 0 have also been keeping a steady presence on BookScan's Top 20 Adult Graphic Novels chart.

Extended Manga Presence on the U.S. Sales Charts, Beyond the Jujutsu Kaisen Vol. 30

Beyond the Jujutsu Kaisen franchise, other manga titles showed resilience on the chart as well. A total of 17 manga volumes, including JJK, were placed across Circana BookScan’s June Top 20. Kei Urana’s Gachiakuta Vol. 1 ranked sixth on both May and June charts, dropping two places after holding the No. 4 position in April.

Kamome Shirahama’s Witch Hat Atelier Vol. 1 and Mokumokuren’s The Summer Hikaru Died Vol. 1, both tied to anime releases, debuted at No. 10 and No. 8, respectively. Eiichiro Oda’s One Piece and Koyoharu Gotouge’s Demon Slayer, two long-running staples, rounded out at No. 13 and No. 16.

VIZ Media also showed its dominance, accounting for 12 of the 20 entries, including all eight Jujutsu Kaisen volumes. The June chart reflects the broader pattern in the U.S. graphic novel market, where manga now drive sustained sales alongside Western comics and other titles.
