One-Punch Man Season 3 Part 2 Scheduled for 2027 Return

Part 2 (second cour) of One-Punch Man season 3 is scheduled to premiere in 2027, the anime’s production company, Bandai Namco, confirmed on Dec 29, 2025. The announcement was shared alongside a new visual and promotional material with the tagline, “Supreme Power vs. Ultimate Fear,” on the official channel.

The new announcement marked a significant delay from the end of Part 1’s broadcast cycle. Season 3 part 1 aired from Oct 12 to Dec 28, 2025, spanning 12 episodes that continued the Monster Association narrative after a six-year hiatus following season 2. 

Even though a gap between cour segments has become more common in anime production to spread workloads and manage animation schedules, a nearly two-year wait between halves of the same season is atypically long compared with most current split seasons. The previous hiatus before season 3 part 1 had mixed reactions from its fanbase, who thought the waiting time was too long.

One-Punch Man season 3 part 1 faced intense audience backlash over animation quality and pacing, with some episodes registering among the lowest user ratings for the franchise on IMDb.

One-Punch Man Season 3 Part 2 Production

Part 2 of season 3 will continue the adaptation of the ongoing Monster Association arc from the One-Punch Man manga. Official details about specific manga chapters being adapted in the 2027 cour have not been formally confirmed by the production committee.

Season 3’s production is handled by J.C.Staff, with Shinpei Nagai serving as director, succeeding Chikara Sakurai from earlier seasons. Other key changes include Sakura Murakami as art director and Yuki Hirose as director of photography, replacing Yoshio Ōkouchi.

For part 2 of season 3, Shinjiro Kuroda and Ryōsuke Shirakawa also join the character design team, alongside Tomohiro Suzuki. Along with a late release schedule for part 2,  the production team also reflects a broader shift from previous seasons.

One-Punch Man began as a webcomic by ONE before its manga remake by Yusuke Murata became an international bestseller. The anime adaptation debuted in 2015, earning acclaim for its blend of action and parody, and cementing the franchise as a global anime property across streaming platforms.

In 2025, One-Punch Man season 3 part 1 streamed on Hulu in the U.S., Disney+ in Canada, Netflix in Australia, New Zealand, and Latin America. Apart from the international streaming platforms, Crunchyroll simultaneously streamed One-Punch Man season 3 part 1 across Oceania and Latin America. While official streaming details were not confirmed, part 2 might follow similar global streaming arrangements upon its 2027 debut.
