The Mobile Suit Gundam Wing x Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion manga was first announced in December 2025 as part of the “Road to CODE GEASS 20th Year” anniversary lineup. Gundam Wing also turned 30 in 2025, with Lelouch of the Rebellion turning 20 in 2026.
Production company Sunrise pairing them in a single storyline gives both properties simultaneous visibility during their respective milestone years. Comic Newtype is likely to publish the new chapters weekly; however the release schedule has not been confirmed.
Mobile Suit Gundam Wing x Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion – Minuet Zero Marks Rare Collab
Mobile Suit Gundam Wing x Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion – Minuet Zero adapts from the 1995 Mobile Suit Gundam Wing anime series, centering on protagonist Heero Yuy and 2006’s first season of Code Geass TV anime.
The release date confirmation came with a newly released collaboration visual, which featured Yuy, Lelouch VI Britannia (alias- Lelouch Lamperouge /Zero), C.C., and Suzaku Kururugi. While a detailed plotline has still not been released, we can speculate based on the visual that the narrative will focus on these characters.
Artist Satoshi Ogasawara is illustrating the manga. Ogasawara has also previously worked on Mobile Suit Gundam Wing: Endless Waltz – Glory of the Losers and Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion Re;, giving him direct prior experience with both properties.
The manga now joins a broader slate under Sunrise’s Road to Code Geass 20th Year campaign, which also includes the original anime Code Geass: Hoshi Oi no Aspar, a 2.5D stage musical, and a theatrical re-release of past Code Geass films.
On the other hand, the special broadcast of Code Geass: Rozé of the Recapture starts on July 3. The spin-off's Act 1 released in May 2024.
While the manga is finally starting to serialize, no further details about the Code Geass: Hoshi Oi no Aspar anime have been announced. Together, these initiatives show how Sunrise is expanding the franchise beyond nostalgia, using crossover manga and original anime to keep one of its most influential mecha properties active among modern audiences.
